You trying to compare the two?

We actually NEEDED a good veteran CB. We didn't NEED anymore WRs.

Weren't you the same guy that wanted to keep Martin Grammatica?:laugh2:

This has got to be the 1st play he has made all season because there haven't been this many people all upset on a weekly basis.

I wanted to keep both kickers.

Like most of the people here.

Don't try to make it out like I wanted Folk gone just cuz I wanted Gramatica to stay.

We went through the same non-sense last year with the Saints.

Everyone went nuts about letting the Coach of the Year and now what?

Silence. Crickets at best.

There were also people complaining the Saints had all our leftover LBers and how foolish it was letting them go.

So we struggled in pass coverage against the Patriots... you don't build a team to specifically beat another team - especially an out of conference team.

How many teams actually have 4 CBs that can contain the Pats?

Get over it people, with Henry back our secondary is that much better.

geez...the guy makes one play and "we've made a horrible move!!!!"

I liked Glenn...he did a good job for us, key word being "did"...but by all accounts he played poorly all of TC and preseason, and until today had absolutely no impact whatsoever with his new team

I am not losing any sleep over this

Actually, most of us complained about the decision since it was made. This play just reminded us how good he was at jumping those routes.

It wasn't just cuz of his one good play, it's because of the complete lack of good plays from Nate Jones.

You can't possibly be happier with Nate Jones then you would have been with Aaron Glenn.

and its one play

one play today didnt make up for him performing poorly in TC and preseason

We all know there were plenty of people disappointed but to base the whole argument of those off this 1 play if ridiculous.

I bet no one is even watching th rest of the game to count how many times he gets beat... anyone?

Anyone who says it was a great move to keep Nate Jones over Aaron Glenn definitely has a blue Kool Aid moustache over their upper lip. Jerry got cheap and tried to save a million in a year where we had ample cap space. It cost us depth at one of the most critical positions on the team, and we've paid for it several times this year ... and likely will again a few more times before the season is over.

I don't think he had a terrible preseason. He looked much better than Nate Jones, that's for sure.

Who did that?

well Nate Jones wouldnt be out there much, if at all...if not for our injury situation

but to be honest, there was not much difference between Glenn and Jones in preseason...both got burned alot, both are smallish guys...the difference was one guy was alot older and made alot more money

also, didnt they cite the fact Glenn doesnt play on any special teams units as another reason they let him go?

?

no he didnt

and by all accounts of people who went to TC and saw practice alot, he was bad there too

I don't remember reading that at all.

Good point. We had that injury situation while Glenn was still on the team. Which makes releasing him an even DUMBER move by JJ.

Who could have predicted we would have had injuries at the CB position? I mean, other than the fact that Newman couldn't play all preseason and there was no telling when he would be able to return and Anthony Henry is 30+ and hasn't stayed healthy since he came to the Cowboys, no one could have predicted injuries at the CB position.
