Something that occurred a couple of years ago under the radar may give Dallas tremendous negotiation leverage when it comes to keeping Ware.
Ware was divorced in 2012, and his former wife and he had adopted two children while they were married. Ware is very close to both, and by every account I've read, is a very involved dad. So much, that they sold their house and bought two more in Southlake, which is a relatively small suburb.
Leaving Dallas to play elsewhere would seriously complicate Ware's life unless she went with him, and I don't see that happening, especially if there is another girlfriend or boyfriend involved now. (I'm betting there is.)
A few extra dollars likely wouldn't sway a guy like Ware, who seems to understand his place in Dallas with the fans here. Much opportunity lies here after football.
That is one of the main reasons I think he'll accept a reduction in pay in the end unless some team just offers the world.
