A Lions fan insulted me today

I was wearing a Cowboys Hall of Famers shirt at the grocery store when one of the stock boys started giving me flak. A Lions fan, no less.

I was incredulous, but polite. (Like I need to debate a stock boy about the relative merits of the Cowboys and Lions franchises.)

"Actually," he said, "I always liked the Cowboys, until they got Tony Romo. That guy is the biggest crybaby ever."

Yep.

He'll probably be working for ESPN soon.

I think Lions fans should be more concerned about winning a playoff game for the first time since 1991. Last time Detroit won a playoff game I was 2 years old. I'm 26 now. The Lions suck.

Romo a crybaby? I've seen no evidence of that at all. I'd say he is just the opposite. Given the OL and defense he has played with recently he has had more than enough times to cry and I don't recall him ever pitching a fit. What does that say for Dallas? They have beat the Cowboys like a red headed stepchild in the last few years. Embarrassing beat downs at that. megatron wore out a pair of cleats running up and down the field.

Not to turn this into a Lions suck, Cowboys are great thread, but to focus on the egregious and ignorant comment made by Super Stock Boy. Romo, a crybaby? Really? Crybaby? I'm still trying to digest that. Guy has spent more time on his back than a $2 you know what and has had his body broken more ways than a two year old can crack a tinker toy and I don't think I've ever heard him complain about the MASH unit trying to defend him. Since 1991 the Lions are 7-6 against Cowboys including the last two games they've played.

For whatever reason, the Lions always seem to win games against the Cowboys they have no business winning.

The 1994 MNF game where the Cowboys lost to the Lions in overtime was particularly painful for me. I was razzing a Lions friend how Emmitt was going to outrush Barry Sanders in that game and Sanders went off for 194 yards on 40 carries! Emmitt had a very respectable 143 yards.

I just got finished arguing with this guy on fb about how Jerry hasn't signed a flashy big named free agent in years. This dude went on and on to all the default anti cowboy b.s. "Romo is a choker", "Jerry is the worst owner ever", "cowboys haven't been relevant for years", "can't make the playoffs with one game to win".

Then proceeded to lecture me on how flacco is better than Romo, despite dudes best year being 25/10, yeah because it's not like flacco wasn't put on a team with a top special teams, hall of fame defense, and a great running game. Lol, but let flacco screw up, dude is hated all around town.

Dude the fans are such d bags I genuinely hate the ravens. I don't even dislike the team itself I just hate the fans.
