Just be glad we spent 50 million on Brandon Carr or it would have been a lot worse.

LMAO, Carr was really a difference maker. He was the difference in Megatron having a good game or a monster beast-mode game.

He also started the "If Barry Sanders hadn't quit, Smith wouldn't have those records today" argument, too.

"You may be right," I said, "but Barry *did* quit. He's a quitter."

Dude had nothing to say.

As Michael Irvin said" if Barry didn't want it, he didn't want Barry to have it". In other words, a quitter doesn't deserve the rushing record.

Romo's a cry baby?

Who was it that played against the 49ers with at least one fractured rib and led them to an Overtime win?

Who was it that played against the Commanders with a herniated disc in his back and led them to a 24-23 comeback win?

Since 1991 the Lions are 7-6 against Cowboys including the last two games they've played.

For whatever reason, the Lions always seem to win games against the Cowboys they have no business winning.

The 1994 MNF game where the Cowboys lost to the Lions in overtime was particularly painful for me. I was razzing a Lions friend how Emmitt was going to outrush Barry Sanders in that game and Sanders went off for 194 yards on 40 carries! Emmitt had a very respectable 143 yards.
hat game made me sick. IIRC , Herman Moore was unstoppable as well.

It's amazing how (false) narratives start and live on, I go back and forth on Romo like the wind ( just being honest lol) but a "crybaby" he isn't........"Fans" are stupid.

I don't care what the Lions record is against the Cowboys. That franchise sucks. They've had multiple top 5 picks (year after year) and they still suck. Lions fans can't make fun of anybody. The fact that we're disappointed with the Cowboys recent play against them doesn't make the Lions some juggernaut.

This dude went on and on to all the default anti cowboy b.s. "Romo is a choker", "Jerry is the worst owner ever", "cowboys haven't been relevant for years", "can't make the playoffs with one game to win".

Yeah, that dude must be crazy.... not one of those comments are even remotely accurate.

I was wearing a Cowboys Hall of Famers shirt at the grocery store when one of the stock boys started giving me flak. A Lions fan, no less.

I was incredulous, but polite. (Like I need to debate a stock boy about the relative merits of the Cowboys and Lions franchises.)

"Actually," he said, "I always liked the Cowboys, until they got Tony Romo. That guy is the biggest crybaby ever."

Yep.

He'll probably be working for ESPN soon.

Dude sounds like real stock boy material.

Btw, can't say I've ever heard anyone on ESPN or anywhere else call Romo a crybaby.
Many other things, but never a crybaby.

Cry baby!!!?? What has he been watching? Cry babies are probably the qbs that cry too refs for late hits(get the call) and have their guys pick them up, if i recall Romo takes the hit and gets up by himself lol

I think Lions fans should be more concerned about winning a playoff game for the first time since 1991. Last time Detroit won a playoff game I was 2 years old. I'm 26 now. The Lions suck.

Historically there's no argument between the 2 franchises.

But this year they would pound us into the floor.

Other than playing in a much tougher division than ours, the Lions have a better team to make it to the playoffs than we do currently.

Hate to say it, but it is the truth.

Way more talent on that team than ours.

Lions fan? He didn't try kicking Emmitt to the curb and say how much better Barry is? I'm calling shanahanigans. No Lions fan ever goes without saying stupid things.

This is one thing I will agree with you on. Barry was a quitter.
