a little birdie told me

It's puff, puff, pass.

And only wimps DON'T cough...
because they take baby hits.:D

You know if he drops far enough cause of this Cleveland situation I don't think it's that big of a pipe dream.

This years #1(#22) worth 780 points
This years #2(#53) worth 370 points
Next years #1(equal to a #2 so i'd guess in that 350 point range again considering Dallas should be a 10 win type team, maybe more?)
Let's say J.Jones is worth what T.Jones was, about 250 points. Add it up and it's in the 1750 range. That's what it would take to get in the 4th-5th pick range for Peterson. A large price to pay, unless his injury concerns cause him to slip towards #10? I have a hard time believing he will drop out of the top 5-6, but if he does we could move up with our #1, #2 and Jones, saving next years #1. That i could stomach. I think he's gonna be special, but there are just as many out there that think BUST.

All in all, i've heard WAY too many JJ trade rumors going back to last draft to discount them, but if it were me and i'm coming off a year where we scored 400+ points and JJ and MB3 combined for nearly 1800 combined rushing yards, i'd stick with what ya got.

So basically, we'd be swapping 1st round picks with the 4 or 5 slot, and in exchange for that, we would give them our Jones, our 2 and next years 1.

Like I've said before, that's a good price to get Calvin Johnson, but that's about it.

JJ is in the final year of his contract. Lewis just signed for one year. So realistically the Browns no longer have an interest in Peterson. But we would not be trading to them= since they would have no need of JJ since they also have Droughns. The Bucs at 4 will go for Calvin Johnson. Vikings at 7 are the most likely to want Peterson. But once again if they need a back JJ is only signed for one year. SoI think he is out of the idea on the trade.

A little more to add:

#1 = 3000 pts
#2 = 2600
#3 = 2200
#4 = 1800
#5 = 1700
#6 = 1600
#7 = 1500

All 10 of Dallas' picks in this years draft total 1458 pts. That will likely decrease once compensatory picks are added.

this little birdie told me that the cowboys also want joey thomas, calvin johnson and laron landry... so be prepared for the cowboys to have 4 of the top 5 picks

This all makes perfect sense. Jerry Jones has taken control of the team. Its all about the flashy signing from here on out.

Why would the Vikings want him.... Didn't Chester Taylor just have a career year out there? 1200 yds and 6tds in 15 games isn't bad... I'm just curious why they'd want him. He's young enough at 27 and they also have M. Moore as a change of pace/ back up.....

If this happens I will be very disappointed in this offseason. If we get Colombo back, we are in perfect position to draft very well with what we have. No reason to trade up, just sit back and draft good players.

are you serious?

It would seem to me the next team that is a threat to take him would be the Bills at #12 assuming they get rid on McGahee...... It's hard to imagine he'd fall that far though.....

Your bird's days are numbered.

Any elderly gentlemen who may be in the vicinity of said bird, should also be wary.

you really shouldnt threaten mods like that.

1. Raiders-- need a Qb way more than they need a RB, although they don't really have an OLine to support either of them

2. Lions-- Tatum Bell, and still have Kevin Jones
3. Browns-- J. Lewis and R. Droughns
4. Tampa Bay-- Cadillac and Alstott
5. Arizona-- Edgerin James
6. Washington-- Portis and Betts
7. Vikings-- Chester Taylor
8. Texans-- Ahman Green and D. Davis
9. Dolphins-- R. Brown
10. Falcons-- W. Dunn and J. Norwood
11. 49ers-- F. Gore and Michael Robinson
12. Bills-- McGahee (looking to trade for a 3rd?)
13. Rams-- S. Jackson
14. Panthers -- ???? This is a possible landing spot also.....

Unless I missed something, someone will have to move up to 11th AT LEAST in order to get him before Buffalo.....
