a little birdie told me

Would rather move up to get Calvin, but that's just me.
If we were going to move up, I'd like to see the team get Calvin, though I'd much prefer to stand pat or trade down. Why on earth would a franchise with two solid runners blow draft picks to move up and get another runner? How much better is Adrian Peterson than Marion Barber. Really. I think that he has "bust" written all over him.

A little birdie told me to move my car or else he would crap on it.....I did....then he went and got 10 of his friends and crapped on it anyway....

I would Love to have Peterson.

Heck, I play:

It would have to be with one of the following:

Browns at 3
Cards at 5
Vikes at 7

Browns: might not have to go this high because they just signed Lewis, but you risk someone else trading with them for this pick. Personally, if we did that, I'd say draft Calvin Johnson.

It also would probably take 3 picks this year (1st, 3rd, 4th) and 2 picks in next years draft (1st and 3rd). Maybe try a deal with Spears in it, and less picks. Just throwing stuff out here, not saying to do it.

Cards: they won't be drafting AD since they have Edge. Bucs have now taken CJ. Probably take the same as above, minus a 1st day pick next year. Also willing to here offers w/ Spears in it. Once again, like Spears alot, but he would probably have fairly good value since he was a former 1st round pick with plenty of upside.

Vikes: 1st 3rd 5th, and 1st next year.

Just throwing this out there for fun. Values are probably WAY off on the picks!! :D

The Lewis thing all but assures the Browns will draft Quinn, who they now love.

Trade the Vikings Brad Johnson.....

I've been saying this all along. Either Detroit or Cleveland takes Quinn. No way these teams pass on them.

that we are going to make some sort of deal on or before draft day to move up and get adrian peterson.

this particular bird is never wrong by the way.

I hope not. If I traded up that high I would be after Gaines Adams, Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas (if for some reason drops out of the #2 spot), Amobi Okoye (to replace Ferguson), or LaRon Landry. (This list wasn't in any certain order) While I think Peterson is a huge talent, but unless he turns out like Tomlinson. All I have to say is NEXT!

His birdie days are quite safe, but if he should ever need a buckshot facelift, well then...

Philadelphia, PA (AP) - More NFL players have run afoul of the law. Late yesterday afternoon, police responded to a party hosted by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. Witnesses reported that during a friendly contest of 'QB Scramble', several partygoers allegedly became violent with the host, causing him bodily harm. No other guests were harmed during the ensuing brawl. Authorities have identified several combatants as members of the Cincinnati Bengals franchise. Their names were not given at press time. Mr. McNabb was released from the hospital with moderate injuries which may threaten his 2007 season.

Peterson dropping to 12 is very possible with his health concerns and the lack of need for RBs by the top 10... making a trade with san fran or buffalo is possible and 22 to 11 or 12 isn't too insanely expensive I wouldn't think. Still a longshot though.

I can't see the Texans passing this guy up. I know they just signed Green, but behind him, they ain't got jack. Their fanbase in quickly dwindling, just like it did when the Oilers were stinking it up all over the place.

They passed on Reggie and Vince lastyear, and I think they all know now that it was a pretty big screw up. Don't see how they let a back like AD fall past them this year.

True... Houston would have to be forced to take Russell or Quinn at that spot or else Peterson doesn't get past them. Just have to wait and see I suppose

UNTIL now.....:) Would love to see it happen but what would it cost?

Wow, that would be awesome.

I've said for a long time that I would give up Julius and our #1 for Adrian Peterson, and I still would in a heartbeat. I'm sure we'd have to give up some more to get that high in the draft, but hopefully not too much more.

I hope this rumor isn't bullshat.

A little birdie told me to tell you to keep dreaming because it won't happen.

I have no doubt that we'll be asking people what they want and I wouldn't be surprised if Peterson would be the target. I just don't think we'll feel like we can afford to pay as much as it would cost.
