All very good points, but teams match up to other teams in different ways. As fans, we want to see a team in the playoffs with matchups the Cowboys can exploit.

The Giants and Seahawks have great defenses but can't score consistently. That means Dallas can get by with a so-so defensive game as long as the offense is clicking.

The Packers on the other hand are scorching hot offensively. That means the Cowboys' defense will be very taxed unless the offense can dominate time of possession and jump out to an early lead.

It's all subjective. Like you said, all the playoff teams are good, and it won't be easy. I just wouldn't mind if it were....easier.
Personally, I think the match up you want are the two teams with the worst offenses...get a lead and have them play catch up in a hostile environment. However, I don't think that Dallas will be so fortunate to have the Giants take out Green Bay AND Seattle take out Atlanta (at home), even though they beat Atlanta in a squeaker earlier this year. I guess it might depend if you are a control freak or not, because a shoot-out is much less predictable...or within the control of a defense to stop.

lol. Playoffs are about DEFENSES!

Which is what I've said numerous times. Playoffs are about quarterbacks versus defenses. Whichever QB better reads the opposing defense better wins.

"Right on Bro" - Trent Dilfer.

"You know it" - Brad Johnson.

QBs versus defenses. Whichever QB reads the other defense better wins.

And if winning requires we have a defense the caliber of Dilfer's Ravens or Johnson's Bucs, lol, then we're screwed.

Shootout or defensive struggle, does not matter, usually comes down to the last possession. We don't offer much of a hostile environment either. 70 degrees and a little noise.....

Giants pretty much beat us with 1 play, well that and an Odell drop.We beat Pittsburgh on the last possession with less than a minute to go. It is all a crapshoot if you are not up by more than a TD with a couple minutes to go no matter if the score is 37-34 or 10-7

What does our defenses has to do with anything? I thought you said it was all about the QBs.

Yeah bro, we need to beat the best to be the best. Because people remember or care about the 15 cakewalks brady has had to the superbowl. Nobody cares.

We should petition that we also want to go through Brees in NOLA & the chiefs in arrowhead and Brady in Foxboro, we want to prove we are the best!
