The Giants refusing Jones 5th-year options tells you all you need to know. They are drafting their future QB next year and will likely bench Jones after a few losses.

BTW.....good post OP

it will be interesting to see how things play out….I’m not sure Tyrod Taylor would be an upgrade, but if Jones is either regressing or getting killed, there could be a change. A better question I have for you is this- I hear Rush has two more games for certain left as a starter before Dak returns. What if Rush leads Cowboys to two more victories against Wash and Rams? Does he stay to battle Eagles or do you go back with Dak? Hmmmmmm……..glad it’s not my call.

Good stuff. Thanks for posting.

When Saquon broke that TD run I was interested in seeing how Dallas would respond, and they really handled that well.

A tough, physical game in a nasty environment was a good litmus test for sure.

For what it’s worth— it looks like the FO and coaching staff has your team pointed in a solid direction. Respect

I 100% agree- we are tending upward from Gettleman, Judge, and Garrett….

I was watching the game with my neighbor, a Cowboys fan…and I immediately told him after Saquon scored that “Dallas will match our TD right her….”

I sometimes hate when I’m right. That is one of them. Ha

Jones isnt bad but hes not good either...he def doesnt play like a 1st rounder more like a good 6th round pick from a small school whos never played against good talent

I’m staying neutral on Jones until I see how this year plays out. He was so-so the first two games, but was great last night, In my opinion. I need more data to make my call. I’m sure Giants brain trust also need more before they make the call.

In his defense, I believe the Giants GM haven't done Jones any favors with the offense around him...not taking any responsibility easy from Jones but very few qbs would have flourished there

100% agree…..that’s why judging Jones is not easy.

First off….CONGRATULATIONS on a great well played win last night.

I was so looking forward to beating your Boys, but i have to admit, the better team won. Your boys played great on both sides of the ball. I knew your defense was very good, but I didn’t expect 24 pressures and 5-6 sacks on my QB. Your DC prepared your boys well and they responded.

Your offense did something the first two teams we played were unable to do- to not make Wink Martindale’s reputation even bigger. I mean no sacks….come on now! SMH

Cooper was great and even I smiled when CeeDee caught that TD to make up for the drop. Redemption is sweet.

But what really impressed me was after we scored to go up 13-6, your boys next two drives were TDs of 75 and 90 yards. That really was impressive, especially in a loud hostile territory.

Having said all of this….I was very proud of my Daniel Jones for hanging in there and busting his gut to make plays, extend drives, and lead an offense despite having no protection from the big guys up front (save Thomas) and the worst set of WRs in the NFL. I mean who is scared to cover guys named Richie, Sills, No separation Golladay, and Shepard, although the latter plays hard. But his drop/fumble at the end did hurt. I don’t know if Jones will be our QB in 2023, but at least for last night, I was very proud of him and glad to see him wearing Giant Blue…..errrrrr, Giant White last night.

Lastly, I apologize for the two obvious PIs on my boys that were not called. I had nothing to do with those. Enjoy the day and the week as you prepare to slaughter Wentz and Co. If you don’t mind, I may hang here this week just for some football talk….I always avoid hanging with my boys when the Giants lose. It’s not fun for me!

I was impressed with Jones as well. He showed a lot of heart. He was literally running for his life last night and showed himself well.

Thanks for sharing. Very classy post. I always like when we play the giants. In prime time is even better…

do you always like it because you always win? I honestly can’t say I enjoy all these losses, but I don’t mind if my boys play as hard as Jones did last night.

Classy post. Agree Jones was excellent - shame he has never had an offensive line to really showcase his game unlike some limited quarterbacks in the league.

Always good to have classy fans from any fan base.

Giants are definitely up and coming. Once they get their cap figured out and Daboll adds his guys another 1-2 years they will be dangerous.

your post could have been written by me. Knowing this has lowered my expectations for this year as I hope our young guys can learn from their mistakes….like Evan Neal for one. We look good for cap space next year so hopefully we can add a few playmakers and not just another guy (JAG).

As stated in another thread, when Dak gets medical clearance, he will play regardless of how well Rush plays. This is Dak's team until otherwise.

I almost feel like he dropped that one ball on purpose to spite the team.

He has a horrible attitude.

At the start of this year, I was hoping we would have started Toney, Golladay, and WanDale Robinson against your secondary.

instead, you got Shepard (didn’t expect him back so soon from ACL), Richie (not bad), and Sills (who is he?)

Maybe next time you will get the three guys I named with healthy bodies and minds.

I pray Dak wins his first game back if for nothing else, for peace on this board…..I can imagine what this place will be like if he doesn’t. Nobody will be singing Kumbaya if he loses….

Galloday is the example of why you develop your own players instead of over paying free agents from bad teams.

dave GETTLEMAN was desperate…he knew the knives were out in full force looking for blood…..desperate people do desperate things….like sign Golladay for 72 million.

He's on a short leash for sure but $40M per will do that. Pretty sure we would not be having this conversation if he was still on a rookie deal.

I secretly hoped you all would get to experience the “joy of Jason” for 10 years as we did… but apparently your FO is 10x smarter than ours as they pulled the plug after 1 year vs Jerrah “needing to see a ROI” for a decade lol

Classy post buddy.
Danny Dimes showed a lot of balls last night. Tough SOB to take all those hits and keep fighting like he did.

Up until last night, some guys who were ready to move on from Jones have now stepped back a bit and are more willing to watch some more before rendering judgment. When I said “some guys” maybe two or three…….lol

Did Shepard hurt the same knee last night?

Shame if so..
