I don't see the comparison. Glenn often jumped in the air for no reason. Fitz jumps in the air in order to catch the ball.

He was probably talking about how they both usually catch with their hands rather than cradle the ball to their body.

I don't care if someone wants to have an I-told-you-so thread. That's not any worse than the arrogance many show with their opinions that turn out to be completely wrong.
Like whoever was telling us, just a few months back, to stay away from Larry Fitzgerald because he was over-rated, ran poor routes, couldn't get behind defenses, etc.

If Holmes were in Dallas he would already be suspended for a full season.

There was no way Arizona was trading Larry Fitzgerald for a 1st, 2nd and Crayton before this season. It just would not have happened. It would have taken two first round picks at least.

I'll give him two firsts for Fitz.

I saw Glenn catch it with his body a lot. The times he jumped in the air for no reason he would let the ball get into his body instead of just reaching out with his hands.

What is troubling is the inconsistency with the singular anyone and the plural their.

I hope you are not a schoolteacher.

When the Fitzgerald trade talk came up last offseason and it appeared Arizona wasnt going to be able to pay him, I said I would give up 1st-2nd this year and Patrick Crayton (because they needed an NFL body to fill in for him). All I heard back was are you freaking insane????? Thats way too much. Crayton is a valuable slot guy we can not afford to lose him and draft picks are way more valuable. I came back and stated my case that Fitzgerald is only 23(at the time) and has been in the league for 3 seasons I beileve. I said what rookie is going to come in here and produce like Fitzgerald. On top of that hes only 23, an age in which most players are rookies. I hear back no-no-no draft picks are too valuable. It really made me mad because I would had taken Fitzgerald over any two players in this upcoming draft and I dont care if its the first and second pick. People in here are in love with the thought of draft picks and theres nothing wrong with that, but when you get a chance at a bonfide best player at his poistion whose only 23 there should be no debate. Its where do I sign. The draft has too many Bobbie Carpetners in it, the chance of screwing up are good. Fitz was a sure thing.

A search of your posts in this forum shows that you never once suggested that we trade a first, second and Crayton for Larry Fitzgerald.

You did, however, suggest that we trade a first, third and Crayton for Anquan Boldin, but nobody even responded to that post.

Nice try, though.

I remember this post, and I remember the criticism, I cant remember whether i posted or not but I disagreed, and I would like to say I was WRONG! I apologize for my faulty thinking and for everyone who said anything.

Randy Moss + Terrell Owens = Larry Fitzgerald

Link?

I did a search and found no such post, and no such ridicule. Everytime Fitzgerald has been mentioned as a trade possibility, the overwhelming response has been that Arizona would never trade him, and if they did, it would take a lot more than what was suggested.

Nope, I was on board with you 100%, I loved that guy coming out of Pitt.

Having said that, I can't help but feel the Dallas Cowboys machine would have chewed up his talent and spit him out as a cocky, underachieving primadonna. There's bad mojo in the water at the Ranch and until that gets fixed, it doesn't matter who we bring in.

I don't agree with that. Several of the young, talented players Dallas has brought in have not turned into underachieving primadonnas.

Hey, I would give a 1st and 2nd for Adrian Peterson.

I think he is a keeper!

Warning, I'm still bitter and pissed on how they've performed as a team the last 3 years in the games that mattered most. Especially having to suffer two of these losses to the team I hate most, the Eagles.

I will say that if they are as "talented" as the players, owner and the media suggested they are, then they were definately underachieving and to hear them whine after getting the ***** kicked and not even show up in the most important game of the year (Philly 44-6 shellacking) is where my comments are coming from.

If these players are so good, then what happens to their talent when it gets on the field?

That's what I would fear would happen to Fitzgerald if he had come here.

I'm mystified how we have guys like Witten, Barber, Keith Davis, Ratliff, scandrick, Ware, Choice and I'll still say Romo (although recent reports have me wondering about this guy) all of whom strike me as players with a great work ethic, passion and talent but the the team still fails despite their presence.
