A Question to All T.O. Apologists

Why is it that the people who hate T.O. are the ones who start most of the threads about him?

I think all on here would agree we are a vastly more talented team than the Titans. We are a 10 point favorite. This is a team we should easily handle, at home or on the road. thus, the question. What happens if we go out and get beat? What then? The only explanation will be the TO distraction. Will that be enough to convince some of you that this signing was a mistake?

You're just not very good at this whole "thinking" thing, are you?

You're giving the man way too much power.

Some guys here are just trying to put T.O. in a no win situation. If Dallas wins it was a good team effort. If they lose it's all T.O.s fault.

We have lost to lesser teams in the past and TO wasnt on the team

And why exactly do you feel one has anything to do with the other? If we lose this game then clearly we are not a superbowl contending team, TO or no TO. We shoudl win this game easily with or without TO on the field. I don't think the players are going to allow TO to distract them and up to this point I would say there has been no distraction at all. The media has clearly made mountains out of molehills when it comes ot TO. They are waiting for a Parcells explosion and for TO to start throwing Bledsoe under the bus. The Cowboys aren't the Eagles and Parcells is not Reid, things will be different when and IF they shoudl go ary like they did in Philly last year.

Well, I didn't like the signing before .. I am still upset we didn't keep Keyshawn. That being said, this whole media shark attack has made me support him more now.

There will not be any excuse for losing to the Titans .. If they lose, they can only blame themselves ..

The media made this a much bigger deal than it really is and naive people who let the media shape their opinions are the ones who are now taking the torch and trying to start a fire just to see it burn.

Sometimes, it is what it is unless you're easily influenced by the media.

Personally, I don't care for setting up alibis before a game... and I don't care much for those who do...

I didn't like the signing, but your question is asinine... are you suggesting that we should all dump on Owens if the Cowboys were to lose this game, because he had the temerity to get HURT, then suffered a bad reaction to his meds??

TO didn't actually DO anything wrong here... you might want to wait until he does to start spitting bile at him... at that point, you might find me joining you...

I think the team was distracted over this issue back when we lost to the jags.

They all knew it was going to happen and they were pre-distracted.

:p:

I've come down with a semi-fierce case of the flu or something; naturally, it's all that d*mned TO's fault...

Teague is a big believer in the Designated Scapegoat program...

There's a running joke I started at work, that I use on every new employee-- I tell them about our Designated Scapegoat program, in which anything that goes wrong at the hotel is the fault of the newest desk clerk hired... even if the desk clerk in question was off that day...

I then tell them that I instituted that program the day they hired the girl they hired after me...

I just had a thought-- if the Boys lose to the Titans, we should blame it all on Teague31... we ought to make his life a living h*ll for it...

He's the one who started sending negative vibes their way...

Hey, it makes as much sense as blaming TO...

:eyepoke: you could be onto something there....

I am not a TO apologist and I didn't read thru the responses so far. But I do know that if we lose Sunday it won't be because TO was a distraction. We have to much talent ot blame the loss on one guy unless he plays QB.

Call it what it is, a MEDIA distraction not a TO distraction.

I really don't think so and I am not a T.O. groupie, just a fan that will give him the benefit of the doubt as a Cowboy newbie. There is a slew of other high profile players that also invite media attention. If we get beat by the Titans it will be that as a team we collectively performed not as well as the Titans. Come on, I can't see players just dwelling on the T.O. alleged suicide attempt debacle. Players have had their teammates or colleagues seriously injured or even die and continued playing at a high level. Every Cowboy starting football player is a high profile employee and celebrity. Just not all are superstar celebrities.

T.O. is going to help galvanize the offense for games to come, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

I think he will be better for this incident, especially since his teammates are supportive of him.

That is really absurd silverbear. I think we should blame a loss to the Titans where it would be deserved, on Parcells man-boobs. How can any player take the team, head coach and game serious with those mutant fatty glands quivering in disdain and contempt on the sidelines.
