I am with you and as much as I hate it, rooting for SF to win that division. If we have to go on the road, SF is better than Seattle. I figure we will be the 4th seed and play the 5th seed in the first round, which I suspect will be from the NFCW, either San Fran or Seattle, would much rather play Seattle at Home and San Fran on the road the next week if I could pick'em.

I look for it to fall out this way:
1. SF
2. NO
3. GB
4 DAL
5. Seattle
6. Lions

Isn't it funny that it could turn out that way? Seeing Seattle as a 5th seed is kind of laughable. But hey, I'll take it!

Football Outsiders has us with an 85 percent chance to make the playoffs. Playoffstatus.com has us at 62 percent -- but it's 86 percent if we can get to 9-7.

I'd be curious to know what NFC teams currently have a higher percentage. I'm willing to bet you can count them on one hand and still have fingers left over.

shouldn't be thinking about playoffs at all.......Next game. Just the next game.

No, the PLAYERS should be focused on the next game. I doubt anything I think about now or in the future has any effect on the game Sunday night. As much as I wait for that call to come in, Jerry has yet to realize the brilliance I have and can give to this team, so until it does, I have no reason not to think about anything I want.

Yup, only two teams currently have better odds than we do, Seattle and New Orleans. As crash said, we're in much better shape than nearly all others.

No possible way to lose this division, even if we TRY to choke it away. If Dallas just flat out implodes, we'll still win 3 games out of Oak, Chi, Wash, Phi, and NYG. Which would put us 8-8 and making the play offs due to all tie breakers.

I don't think that scenario will happen though, I think we'll finish 10-6 or 9-7. Hopefully I'm wrong though and we finish 12-4. :D

Of course there is a way we can still lose the division! Did anyone think the Commanders would win the division last year when they were 3-6? There is a lot of football left to be played! I think the Cowboys will win the division most likely but it's not a guarantee.

You must have forgotten we just pull out a close one against Minn who was 1-7. Also did you watch Seattle, KC and Colts nearly losing to 1 or 2 win teams?

Any given SUNDAY my friend. Any given Sunday.

I did watch the Minnesota game, and we got the W.

Did you watch the other games that we lost? Only 5 points separates this team from a 7-1 team. I've also watched our division rivals play as well, and I must say I feel very confident that we'll win the division. I wouldn't be surprised if we go 6-0 in the division, that alone would be good enough to get us into the play offs.

Sweep the division and we're at 8 wins, a win vs Oakland would give us 9. I think we win our division because we are more balanced than the other three in all three phases. I want the division win so we can have a game at home.

being 5-1 currently in the NFC is so important for tiebreakers. we already have a win over each divisional opponent.

Conference record is actually a rather distant tiebreaker. It doesn't kick in unless teams are still tied after division record and common opponents.

Carefull with the playoff possibility percentages. Last year toward the end of the year we had a pretty high percentage of making the playoffs......then you all know what happened. I won't feel comfortable until we've earned that playoff berth!

If we miss the playoffs, we are going to look back on the Detroit game and puke.

We're fans, not players or coaches. What we say doesn't affect what happens on the football field.

We could talk about playoffs even before Week 1.

Too many games left to talk playoffs. Too many teams are still alive for a spot
