He certainly acts entitled, arrogant, and stubborn. It is very difficult to dispel ignorance when arrogance is in the way.

He truly believes he is the smartest guy in the room. Even when his “moves” are undoing his own bad signings from a couple years before.

This franchise is getting harder and harder to watch and stomach, all made worse because there is no light at the end of the tunnel of suffering.

Fortunately the good news is Cheapskate Son will most likely hire someone to be GM when Jethro passes.

Why , because unlike Daddy who is unaccountable to anyone but the fans , he will be held accountable by his equal partner siblings . That will make all of the difference .

I expect Stephen to become President and act in a more administrative role while not only overseeing contracts which is his specialty but hiring people in the front office who he can hold accountable.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
Financially nepotism has worked out for the Cowboys. They turned a million dollar investment into a billion dollar empire that will take care of the Jones family and friends for generations. The reality is the Cowboys have won 3 Super Bowls with the Joneses in charge.
It has worked out financially for them. If money is all they are after, they’ve been a success. If business success is their only accomplishment…ok. But if winning is considered any part of owning a sports team is how you measure success, the Jones cartel will not be remembered fondly by sports history.

They were winners at first, then let greed, arrogance and selfishness ruin what they started.

Isn’t the money the real reason that Jerry bought the Cowboys. He is now the face of the most popular franchise in all of sports. Jerry is a movie star. It sucks for us fans but this is not going to change. We have to accept it or find a new team.:banghead:

No, the reality is the Joneses won 3 SBs when they worked with Jimmy Johnson who helped build those three champions.

How many SBs have they won running the team all by themselves? Shoot, how many conference title game appearances do they have since Jerry and Stephen have been calling the shots all by themselves?

LOL.

You can't be serious. There is zero chance Stephen gives up the day to day control of the football operations.

Jerry was the owner and general manager. He gets the credit. He hired Jimmy. Fans need to act like Jimmy brought the Cowboys back on his own. Jerry and Jimmy did it together.

Day to day operations can be included as President without holding the GM position.

We have to tolerate him. We don’t have to accept it.

Two more:

Jerry Jones in 2012: "I’ve been here when it was gl0ry hole days and when it wasn’t. I want me some gl0ry hole”

and of course the one that kills us to this day when he took over the team and said (paraphrasing) he would be 'in charge of everything from jocks to socks'

You know , his role changed over the years. Initially that “ socks to jocks” mantra was tolerable because of the success we were having with Jimmy. Everyone saw and felt things were up swinging .

Unfortunately it all changed after winning back to back championships when Jimmy gained more credit rightfully so and became the face of the franchise.

Something Jethro couldn’t tolerate. Winning championships wasn’t enough for our owner. He wanted to be the face of the franchise .

What GM is going to come here to be a gopher for Stephen who would still be calling the shots?

There is zero chance Stephen hires a legitimate GM. Zero.

And when Jerry didn't have Jimmy, what happened?

So when people say Jerry built three SB champions to defend his run as GM, that's disingenuous. He's built ZERO SB winners by himself. Shoot, he hasn't even built a team that made a conference title game in 25 years.

We have found puppets for coaches under this dysfunctional ownership. Shouldn’t be too difficult to find gophers for GM’s.

I’m telling ya, after Daddy dies it’s highly unlikely Cheapskate Son operates in same fashion as Jethro. Assuming his two siblings have equal ownership.
