5-11 if we don't add equal or greater value for what we lose if we go down the road you so desire hater boy. ;)

And you know 5-11 how? Are you a savant? What's the lotto numbers for this week?

Also, if "the player" goes down in week one, or training camp, should the Boyz just mail it in?

You are reaching lover boy...you need to sit down!

;)

All in a day's work hater boy. Silliness is best countered with yet even more silliness. Keep that hate campaign strong!

Lotto numbers for the week:

81 11 09 82 24 28

Play them and win hater boy.

That's weak, lover boy. You need to sit down because you did not answer my question!

Should the Boyz mail it in if "the player" goes down in training camp or game one? Don't back track, lover boy, answer the question. You said 5-11 at best...back it up, or shut it up!

Now sit down, before you fall down!

YoMick;2614134I wont dig up the threads and articles where most of this team mates especially in Philly wanted him on team. Its out there. So people say nice things just to avoid saying bad things... lol.... I see that argument is usually to back up someone's bias. Ignore that they said positive things. Pretty funny.[/QUOTE said:
Even 5Countem5 (ardent TO supporter) admitted that he didn't think anyone on a team would publically state that Owens was a problem or that they didn't want him on the team while he was there. Even he can see the craziness in doing that because there is simply nothing positive that come of it.

So yes, there are the quotes "out there" as you say, that are "positive" regarding TO. People responding to media who choose not to say anything inflammatory.

But there are also quotes "out there" that he tore the team apart.

I was referring to team mates from his other teams. The positives were said AFTER TO was no longer there.

As were the negatives.

Bottom line, two teams that released him, not due to his performance, simply because of his effect on the locker room. Which obviously, was not positive.

So yes, there are quotes out there that may reflect positively on him due to his charisma (generally he seems to be a likeable guy), but it was not the overwhelming positives as you suggest in the original post I replied to or he would still be with one of those teams.

You are right. But what you posted isnt the issue either. Even if the media and fans want to.... wish to make it the issue.

The issue is: He is a major weapon on an already good team. Use him as such.

We win.
You are incorrect. The issue I gave addressed what you call as fact. His popularity is not defensible in the context that "everything is just peachy-keen" simply because x-number of players like him. However, his popularity is the issue if it can affect the chemistry of the team--in particular the offense. Reducing and/or eliminating that issue is simple for Owens as it would be for any other player:
  • Shut your mouth
  • Do your job as outlined within the (offensive) scheme regardless of whether you care for your role or not
Everything else will take care of itself. If a player has concerns which he believes should be rectified, he should take it up with the coach, not the networks. The coach will either address or not address those concerns. Creating a divisive atmosphere by going outside the team structure automatically identifies the player as an individual. Individuals do not compete for Super Bowls. Teams do.
