I hope you don't expect good, honest answers. It is the most irrational superstition of all.

Yeah, Bach hates Jerry Jones so much, it is almost pointless to participate in any argument with him about Jerry Jones.

It's all based on his track record the last dozen plus years.

Bad ones too. All you ever get is spin control and deflections.

My only beef: there's nothing superstitious about our December woes. We play worse in December because those games are generally the most important and we're at heart a soft team that can't take a punch when it counts. Until proven otherwise.

Hos, the game's stats you posted were sobering. (ha-ha. Git it, sobering and medicated?)

The intangible in all this is . . . the HC. Or lack of it.
I have been saying this until I am hoarse: Wade does not have the fire to git the Cowboys up that last step on the ladder, be it a close game or a playoff game.
He simply does not have that fire, the anger the look the clipboard-throwing aspect of a coach who demands respect and accountability.
As we discuss this, Wade is still shrugging. Still saying, "we're fine," and dismissing nonworking aspects of the game, again, by shrugging. In Wade's mind there is always tomorrow. In the workaday world, yes, that is true, but not in the NFL.
This game would have put us in the driver's seat and gotten the baboon off our backs as far as the december jinx goes.

But this marshmallow (and that is the kindest word I can think of right now) of a coach cannot inspire. Cannot lead. Cannot hold players accountable. You know, I know it, Bob Dole knows it.

This is the Supreme Truth as best as i can say it right now.
And git well sooner than later, Hos. And just say no -- or at least "OK, but this is the last time" -- to "medications."

There were good things today. Romo, Witten, Austin, and Williams deserve some praise on Offense. Spencer is making those calling him a bust look bad. Mike Jenkins continues to prove he was a great pick as he makes yet another great pick.

Great post Hos. And I agree.... those six guys were the only positives really.

This game hurt. It hurt bad. I watched Tony play one of his best games of his career, and we still can't win. Not a common thing with this team.

But I still have some faith. Hopefully we can rebound after last week. Hopefully our running game can step it up a bit. And our O-line. We couldn't run the ball at all, and Tony was taking hits all day.

I'm sure there will be plenty of tackling drills going on at practice this week.

Spot on. And I think this team will now believe the December Voo-Doo. Thats why I think this team is cooked for good. I don't have any confidence in D. I have seen that play out too many years to be suckered in again.

I'm with ya. I have absolutely no confidence that the defense can slow down San Diego, New Orleans or anybody else for that matter.

When you look these December collapses. Although they are team efforts, most breakdowns are on the defense. For whatever reason, they forget everything they did earlier in the season and start breaking down all over the place. And that's on the DC who also happens to be the HC.

The offense may have left some points on the table, but 24 points should be enough to win.

I hate watching that idiot Jacobs run wild. Makes me want to puke.

Wade and Jason have squandered some of the greatest talent in the decade and their boss still has a job.

People need to start realizing that we don't have as much talent as we think.

The last drive was nothing but New York playing as soft as ice cream.

The offense struggled all damn game and a sign of them not quitting is scoring in junk time?

Yet another person who doesn't have a clue what a junk time TD is.

A TD that actually puts you into position to have a shot to tie the game up is far from a junk time touchdown.

We are not an untalented team - we certainly had top 4 talent going into the 2007 season. I do think that our offensive line talent has eroded over the past few years as the players have aged, but you can't tell me that a good independent coaching staff couldn't have mustered a few playoff wins with this same talent pool over the past 3 years.

That's fine to think that as long as you apply that to the last 10+ teams--even though they had different players and coaches--the results have been similar.

I'm not sure I would call it struggling, but it was a tough battle. The big plays given up by the defense and special teams (plus the Barber fumble) are what broke out backs.

Not really. While we've generally been bad in December for quite a while, the contrast is much greater under Wade's teams. Back when we were 5-11 for three years running, to take an extreme example, we were bad in December...and every other month.
