He's the healthiest, but the other guys are simply better. Sorry to be so blunt, but it is the truth and I love the kid.

Plus everyone keeps leaving out a reason he may not be seeing as much time. he has blocked the wrong guy two times in the last two games on blitz pickups causing romo to get sacked.

Today seattle was coming after us most of the game and barber is outstanding picking up blitzers.

its an important aspect of the game and since we were passing so much it plays a major factor.

Bravo, Hos.

I have that smile on mah face from the win.
This team stepped it up in many ways.

I too am bothered/perplexed by the anti Garrett sentiment. How much he gits raked on the coals when his offense is lighting up offensive numberswise and making stars out of Austin and Tash and Jones when he is heatlhy.

And let us give Wade a pat in the back. Penalties were fewer and I saw better execution in all phases except not getting to the QB and a ground game that never established itself.

Wade presented a disciplined and workmanlike and even swaggering team Sunday and I felt proud, really, really proud, to be rooting for the Cowboys and even Wade and Garrett.
It wasn't often pretty but it was effective. Like a big well-oiled machine at times.
This is the kind of game and allows me an extra 16 ouncer and the pastrami samwhich and before ah say, good night and good luck.

The problem is Gimme (and I know in your infinite wisdom as the epicenter of truth that you already know this) he will call a bad game at some point and all these naysayers will say "see, I was telling you that." It is utter freaking nonsense. There has never been a coach who doesn't call a bad game. There has never been a coach who doesn't call a bad series in an otherwise great game.

The demand for Garrett to be perfect is evidence that people can breathe with their head implanted in dark, smelly places, but the lack of oxygen doesn't allow cogent thoughts.

You hit on something I have been saying for a little while. Some Cowboy fans on this board hold Romo/Garrett and others to some very unrealistic expectations.

I don't want to hear Romo sucks Garrett sucks anymore. I want to know who it is that those people wish Romo and Garrett were.

Hard concrete examples that Romo and Garrett can be compared too.

I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that we can beat the Eagles. I do think we are the better team and will think so even if we lose. But they are very tough at home and Andy Reid does prepare for us better than anyone. I think we are hitting them at just the right time to pull it off.

Our team is emerging and our defense is gelling. I'm very happy about our final score today. We put up some points with the passing game. I keep feeling like we should run it, but when I look at how easy it is for us to get open I can't help but disagree with myself. Garret is doing well calling plays and thank goodness for our young guys like Austin and Hurd, etc. Even Carpenter is coming along. And Scandrick was all over the WR today, he just turned his head late.

We're a great team. Too bad we lost that game to the G-men. But I think we take out Philly.

So you expect honesty from these people?

Why not just ask for Jessica Alba to give you the winning lottery numbers as she tells you that she and Scarlett Johansen want to be your love slaves for life or until you become attracted to younger, hotter women?

It just seems easier.

Actually the credit goes to a man who is a walking, talking, butt kicking miracle on our sidelines. Joe DeCamillis has been one of the most refreshing additions to this team in years. I find him to be utterly inspiring. I would love to have played for the man. Instead of dreading Special Teams I find myself believing it is a battle we will automatically win. What an unreal change for this team. Maybe there's some magic in Tom Landry's bullhorn. I don't know what it is, but I couldn't complain about the Special Teams if I wanted to. They are executing.

I expect him to make a great head coach someday. I hope it is here.

I saw some people who still can't stand Jason Garrett and I have to be honest with you that has me perplexed. The Offense is scoring, mistakes are down, and he is still as hated by some as he was last year when we actually did suck. I suppose it will take a TD on every single drive for him to be good enough. That's ridiculous, but then expectations of the fans sometimes are.

You know the old saying. If he could walk on water, there would be people who complained he left foot prints. Passing game is clicking, picking up big chunks, and putting pointing points on the board. I thought thats why they played. I have confidence they can run the ball when needed.

I know mine are. Hard for me to confess to that. It is unreal of me to expect some of the things I do. Like the dozen sacks I was expecting to see today. I really did even though I didn't post it. 3 sacks almost left a bad taste in my mouth. I expected more than that from Ware alone. I know better than to do that, but I couldn't help it. The Seattle OL was so patchwork I expected our Defense to go through them like gas through a funnel. Hasselback was pressured today, but not sacked enough or forced into INTs so I was a little bit disappointed. I believed the Defense had turned a corner and was going to start getting those stats in bunches. It doesn't work that way in the NFL and I know it.

Sore subject= Spencer sack numbers.

Penalties were down again. 5 for 43 yards. That is encouraging. I read that none of the penalties were pre-snap. If that is true (and I honestly wasn't paying attention to that) then that is more than encouraging. It is flat out room for celebration.

Yep, 5 penalties or less every week ad they could win the division and play with anyone.

I hope his December numbers are just as good as his November numbers, providing he keeps playing the way he has been the last 3 wks... :starspin

I was disappointed with the way we defended Julius. He ran very well against us today. If he could have ran with that kind of purpose on a consistent basis for us, he would still be a Cowboy. I guess he ran so hard today cause he felt slighted.
Did we watch the same Julius? I would say he ran below average...or about par for the course for him this season. His line today was 15 carries for 56, or an average of 3.7 yards per carry. Hardly anything worth something even remotely close to rueing. Not to mention, he has a whopping 1 TD this season. But, it's all good because we have the MUCH better Jones now.:star:

Not sure if the tv broadcast said anything about this, but julius left on the cart in the 4th qtr, so he must have had a bad injury at some point, I just dont remember it.

You know what Hos? I agree Crayton makes me crazy with so many "fair Catches" It seems thats when his best chace to drop the ball is....but if he catches it on the run...WoW he seems to be able to catch well and explode!
Two punt returns in two games . I'm dang proud of him!

Me too my lady. I have always loved his hands and especially in the slot. I am glad Austin has stepped up so that we have 3 legitimate WRs, 2 TEs, and 3 more guys behind them who have very real potential. If that is not evidence that this team is in good shape I don't know what evidence is needed.

Make no mistake about it though, if we could improve at Punt Returner I would. These last 2 games have helped but I don't think Crayton is elite back there. I said he would never break one. I actually said it. Pass the crow.

Yup , I agree. I don't think he is an elite punt returner either, but glad too see him with those two under his belt.:)

Don't forget, he also had a returned punt for a touchdown against Denver that was called back for an illegal block in the back that had not bearing on the result of the play. He looked pretty amazing on that return. He seems to have more of an initial burst this year.

Maybe we should call him, "Primetime" Crayton.

Agreed on Garrett. He's quietly putting together a very nice season as a play caller. Yeah, I know the boo birds are out about passing too much or leaving in Romo too long. But no one's perfect.
Meh...he still made some calls today that really made me scratch my head.

You have MBIII, Felix, and Choice...and you hand the ball off to Miles Austin? Seriously? I know they got the 1st but he fumbled...

He still overthings everything. Like when we were leading by I think two touchdowns and he calls an end around to Crayton...just pound the ball.

Those types of calls will come back to kill us against teams other than Seattle. We won't be able to recover from 2nd and 20 or get our own fumbles against teams like Philly...

Great post!

Quick question... and not trying to be negative at all, but since I didn't get a chance to see the game, what were the two fumbles credited to Crayton in the stat sheet? I don't think he actually lost them, but was just curious if they were from punts or not.

Thanks.
