really some dude had us with 2 ties, one of the unicorns in the NFL and we do it twice. SMH

That's Razor. He's a hockey announcer and a bit of a jokester.

I'm surprised he didn't have us with more ties.

I never pre-judge my sports teams. I'm an optimistic, wait and see kind of guy; I never rule anything out, especially when it comes to the NFL. Do I get disappointed a lot? Good bit, yeah. But I get delighted a lot too.

I didn't pick the Cowboys to be better than the Saints, but I did pick them to be 11-5. Just goes to show you that football is extremely unpredictable, like injuries derailing the last 2 seasons.

What did you pick them to go the last 4 years?

Brad Sham, Dallas Cowboys radio voice: I respectfully decline

I wonder if he knew that the Cowboys would be much better this year but didn't say anything because he didn't want to look stupid in front of all the pessimists.

Eh, I can't blame most of them. With that said, it sure is funny how often they'll remind you that they were right when they prognosticate accurately, yet either ignore incorrect guesses or only bring them up very briefly while their tails are between their legs.

LOL, typical response.

So you think predicting a winning record is blind homerism and at the same time hold not having a winning record against Garrett.

So which is it?

We underachieved so predicting a winning record is not being a homer or you think we weren't that good so not having a losing record is not so bad?

Can't have it both ways.

I am not 100% sure because I don't tend to think about last year after this year starts.

2013, 10-6. Lots of injuries or I think they get there.
2012, 10-6. Same
2011, don't recall at all but I remember being concerned about the OL overhaul.
2010, 12-4. I bought the hype for sure after the playoff win in 2009.

Why don't you ask me what I predicted after Jimmy was let go, or during the Campo years? I mean, the premise of your post is that I only predict good and don't bother to try and be objective. The fact is you couldn't be more wrong, but you're welcome to keep trying.

Via e-mail this pre season he said to me he thinks people are under estimating them.

What do you know? It says right there that you're blind and I have a hard time taking anything a zebra says about football seriously.

Bob Sturm picked the Bucs to make the playoffs in addition to his astute call on the Cowboys. So close.

Yeah, didn't think so. It takes a special kind of stupid for anyone to actually claim I was positive about this team during the Hutch vs. Q years. Amazingly we have people who are that stupid.

I didn't get excited about Cowboys football after Jimmy until Parcells arrived. I wish we'd had more success since that moment, but we haven't. That's the real world. It's an odd shaped ball that bounces funny and critical players do get hurt and sink some teams chances. Not just this one.

Funny how the self professed realists can't accept reality, and I do not mean the site owner.

Sorry but a lot of the most of the optimistic fans did not pick us to do this well which makes it hard to call out the media. Just proves our talent is better than it was given credit for and our coach is finally starting to learn something after three wasted seasons of OJT.

If he has learned something, then his first three years weren't wasted.

I'm not ready to dance on anyone's grave just yet. Let's get into the playoffs and then we can start letting these guys have it. If we don't finish these last two games at we are looking at a bunch of talking heads who will say how we were better than expected but still not close to good enough to get over the hump.

I call them like I see them. I have never worn any rose colored glasses,

Well you didn't "see" them very well, so you should have worn some type of glasses.:)

Didn't see Peter King on the list, who tweeted that the Cowboys were going to have a "Long season" ( & not in a complimentary way ) based off 1 preseason game.
