A win is a win but this defense can't break like this

Defense had their moments, but let's be real, we can't let teams move the ball on us like this. I give our defense credit for the turnovers, but they don't make me think we can stop the good teams. We'll HAVE to get turnovers to win with a defense like that.

I can't believe anyone would call out this defense. Rob Ryan would give away his kids for a game like that and this is our first of the season. I am pumped up after seeing this, finally preseason talk turning into regular season action.

428 Passing yrds by Eli? I think that stinks.

Selvie is a beast, Mo disappointing me, Allen scares me, and Lee is a monster.

Defense was doing great, but then kinda fell apart midway through the third quarter. 2 consecutive TD drives of 80 and 90 yards by the Giants, and it seemed like they were gaining 15+ yards every drive. But they turned it around near the end of the game (except for the last drive but they were playing to run out the clock, so I'll give them all the slack in the world.)

Haha, wow. Our defenses created four turnovers and two TDs. They were by no means the problem.

They were certainly part of the problem.

Created that many turnovers and yet still gave up 30 points and 450 yards passing.

Too much?? Mehhhh.. much too much.

First real game in the 4-3 since Parcells came to Dallas and 5 turnovers. And you find reasons to complain?

Really?

Our Oline held its own vs one of the leagues best pass rush. This was without Waters. Austin had more of his legs under him with the extra efforts to fight for yards.

We forced 6 TO's and it wasn't some kind of miracle. We can look at the stats all we want, but the stats don't show how we went for a strip on the football on almost every play. Our Dline forced Manning to move around in the pocket more than he wanted to.

ST stepped up big time with stopping any big returns.

Overall this game had the recipe for disaster up until the pick six. In the past we've found ways to lose these games, but we overcame that tonight. I'm happy knowing that Giant fans will not be sleeping with the same smile I will be. Congrats Cowboys!

Love the turn-overs, however, 450 Yards passing, 4 TDs, and a 100+ QB rating by Eli Manning in this game is way too much. The Cowboys are going to have to face much better QBs than Eli this season.

Thank you.

Funny how when the team couldn't muster turnovers people blamed the def. coordinators. That tells me the majority of fans believe turnovers are related to coaching. We finally get them and now people think it's the other team making mistakes.

However, those who think turn overs are the deciding factor need to review that the Bears were the turnover leaders or close last year and did not make the play-offs.

As Coughlin said in the post game interview, "They gave the game away."

ill take sweet victory every week. i dont care how it happens. pats barely got by the bills. not sure how anyone could expect perfection in the modern NFL.

You guys remember the point in the game that the Defense created three turnovers and all the offense had to show for it was a FG. The offense wasn't able to take time off the clock either, especially seeing as Romo had thrown 40 times in one half.

I'm more worried about Romo with nothing on his throws after getting hit than the D. A healthy Romo and we hold the ball so Eli doesn't have time to throw for 400 yds.

Inability to run the ball and penalties hurt the offense. Again.

Who's complaining?

Can you not deal with reality?

Great win.. will take it anytime.. but our defense is far from elite status.

Still giving up those big plays and too many points.

Anyone who thought this was going to be anything other than a shootout really hasn't been watching Giants/Cowboys games the last 5 years. Particularly in Dallas.

Definitely, but I don't think it's fair to put so much blame on the defense when they're the reason the Cowboys were even in this game. They were creating havoc out there, sans the three easy TD drives. After what I've seen from Eli and the Giants, I never count them out from games.

They gave up 428 passing yards. I'm sorry, but a turd is a turd and that pass defense was turd worthy. We can't count on turnovers to bail us out of every game. The offense has to do a better job also.

The defense can't break like that? Maybe if the O didnt' three and out the whole fourth quarter, this game wouldn't be in winning distance. The D can't hold forever and 6 turnovers, especially when some of them result in touchdowns or us being in the redzone, the offense has to do something.
