Aaron Donald Question

As I see it, the majority of this board, including me, wants Aaron Donald as our first round draft pick. Based on other team needs, it looks like the bears are the only real threat of stealing him before our pick. Out of curiosity, has anyone looked into what the news reports are saying about who they're showing interest in? Also, I'd be interested in who the bears forums are hoping they draft?

Arizona picks after us unless they decide to trade up from 20. We'll know what Chicago does based on what they do with Melton. If Melton doesn't resign with Chicago, he needs to be a cowboy. If he is a Cowboy, our #1 priority becomes defensive end and not defensive tackle.

Isn't Jern more of a 1 tech? We should get Melton and Jern, and a DE in round 2

From what I have seen, here are the teams that have shown interest:

ARI, BAL, CHI, CIN, DAL, DET, HOU, MIN, NE, SEA, STL, TB

He was even being put through linebacker drills by 3-4 teams at his Pro Day and supposedly did well.

I doubt he's a player that will fall into the second that people were suggesting a few weeks ago.

I have already written him off and I am boarding the Zack Martin train. May have to get off that one eventually as well.

I don't see a 3-4 team drafting him.

People think Chicago is going to run 4-3, but their D-Coordinator, DL coach and LB coach have primarily been 3-4 guys.

I lose track of coaching changes but Arizona was a 3-4 team a couple of years ago.

Apparently the Bears have now balked at their 3-4 statements from the Combine. Trestman is now saying they dont see a move to a 3-4 in the near future. I think Donald is headed to Chicago. I know there is all this hype over Donald right now. But im going to say it now. ACC comp is putrid, If donald gets 6 sacks this yr ill be suprised.

Add NYG too. They just like guys that can get to the qb and figure out how to use them

He asked if any teams were interested and you correctly told him AZ.
The fact that they pick 20th means nothing unless the NFL decides to outlaw short trade-ups.

He is recovering from his 2nd ACL injury. Also, it being reported that teams are concerned about his personality and ability to be a professional. The description of his personality sounded like MartyB.
