Aaron Donald Question

I think this board needs to start looking at other prospects besides just Aaron Donald. There are a lot of quality players that will be available at #16 that we have hardly discussed.
I have moved on to Martin already.

please just stop.
donald is about 10x the pass rusher of the Seahawks starting SDE.
lots of good pass rushers have been big, but quick and strong guys who relied on swim moves, rip moves and bull rushes to win without much corner turning including reggie white at 300 pounds who might be the best of all-time.

dallas is considering 285 pound tyrone crawford outside at SDE.
donald is simply a better player who could do that as well.

he happens to be the ideal for a 3T but make no mistake his skillset and bodytype are valuable up and down a DL which is why he so infrequently gets to Dallas in mocks now.
1. Playing Donald at DE on passing downs would only make sense if he is as good at DE as he is at the 3 tech position. That is highly unlikely.

2. Comparing anybody to Reggie White is not a good idea.

3. Red Bryant was replaced by Bennett and Avril on passing downs. Bryant was cut last week.

4. All 3 players, White, Crawford and Bryant are talller, longer armed players. All of the shorter DEs with shorter arms that I recall being highly successful are the types that could probably play OLB in a 3-4. That's a different type player than Donald. If you know of any highly successful 4-3 DEs with Donald build I would be interested to know those names.
