Wasnt he from a middle class family tooKinda shocking, seemed like a guy that wasn't sorry for his crimes. Seem to remember a story someone saying he'd do it again, because it was a gang 'code' thing since he was disrespected
Maybe he got deflowered and couldn't handle it.
Have a friend who was a correctional officer at a state prison, said that rape stuff doesn't go on near as much as people think. It's a serious crime and will add a bunch of time to their sentence for one, and also most guys don't suddenly turn gay in jailIn a bizarre twist, Hernandez is legally innocent now because he died while his convictions were being appealed.

I'm not gonna shed a tear for this scumbag, but prison rape sure is funny... until you realize that a) some number of innocent people are in prison, and b) a lot of people are in prison for much lesser crimes than murder.
Strange and perplexing end to a strange and perplexing story.
probably helps to protect his daughter's inheritance(if there is any) from civil proceedings. Doesn't surprise me ....state of MA screwing the victim's family. A law like that should have been removed a long time ago.In a bizarre twist, Hernandez is legally innocent now because he died while his convictions were being appealed.

Actually, despite being a scumbag, he earned his money. I have no problem with it going to his family especially his child, who did not choose to be his daughter.probably helps to protect his daughter's inheritance(if there is any) from civil proceedings. But she can't collect life insurance if there is any. Although I'm sure there's enough for her without it.probably helps to protect his daughter's inheritance(if there is any) from civil proceedings. Cant wait for all the conspiracy theorists to chime in with either the guards or other inmates did it. Or a Mexican drug lord
Opps........too late
Yeah, I don't see some guards taking a serious risk like that just to out an inmate. I just wonder why he did it now..I'm sure they have a psychiatrist available, be interesting if a more detailed report comes outdidn't want to live his whole life in prison. He took the only way out. Don't think there's anything more to it at all.
