Well, we already know they don't deserve to go. Let's be real about it. Anybody looking at it honestly knows this team is far from playoff caliber.

Yes but it would still be nice to go.

They have to start learning how to win games in December sometime.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Some of the bravado in here is quite amusing. I am shocked nobody has chimed in that they want the Packers at "full strength" yet.

You need ot worry about your pair. You are the one panicking like a kid that can't wait to open his Christmas presents. My God the Packers are not that good of a team and they aren't going to magically get better because Rodgers is coming back. You are the worst kind of fan. Instead of believing in your team you panic at the first sign of what you think is trouble. This team can beat the Green Bay Packers. They are not some unstoppable force.

I don't have to worry about my pair, because they're mine, I need for you, a grown man, to stop worrying about another man's "pair", mmkay cupcake? Now is it your homerism or is it your lack of football knowledge that is blinding you to the fact that the Green Bay Packers are a much better team and far more dangerous team if Aaron Rodgers is the QB instead of Matt Flynn? Which one is it, because something inside that brain of yours is just not getting it.

The vibe from Green Bay has the feel that Rodgers won't play.

Not sure what they're afraid of. He's safer against Dallas' pass rush than he is practice.

I really don't give a crap. We'll beat Green Bay with or without Rodgers at home. We are very good at home and Green Bay has just as many issues as we have. Green Bay is 6-6-1 for a reason.

Reason = Aaron Rodgers is MIA

So not only will Rodgers be back, I'm sure the crowd will be 50% Packer fans too..practically a home game for them

My guess is Flynn plays. I know he practiced yesterday and all reports are saying he is more and likely out. He practiced last week as well and mentioned the other day he was in pain from that. That right there tells me he is no where near ready to play.

Because of this I feel we will win vs GB 24-20 type of score. We match better with their receivers and not having an effective Lacy puts more pressure on Flynn. If we do win, I'll take it like Philly did.

Rodgers will play.
It won't matter if it's Rodgers or Flynn. New record is set for 1st downs in a game.
Kiffin and defensive players will have some excuse.
Jerry will put in his $0.02 on what adjustments need to be made
The sky will still be blue and water will still be wet.

Yes, it matters if Aaron Rodgers plays or not.

No, it really doesn't. Whoever is the QB against this epically bad defense - trying to become the WORST EVER IN HISTORY, is going to have a career day and torch us.

Do people actually believe there's not a difference between Rodgers and Flynn playing? I mean, really? I can't even fathom the emotional overload that would lead to that sort of irrational conclusion.

It's one thing to overlook everything we've seen about the Cowboys to-date this season because of a disappointing loss last week, but another entirely to take that extra step to not realize how much Aaron Rodgers brings to that GB football team. It's going to make a huge, huge difference if he's out there, and not just in the cute 'we've given up all hope of being able to beat anybody, anyway, under any circumstances' kind of way. Even if you're intending to remain fetal for the last three weeks of the regular season and honestly think the Cowboys have zero chance at a win in any circumstance, you should think this means the difference between a closer loss and another defensive drubbing of epic proportions. I can say with some confidence that that would matter to some of you on Sunday evening. You know who you all are.

Lol. I typed the post above before I'd read this, for the record.

You're certainly welcome to believe whatever you believe for whatever reason you believe it. Personally, I want to win this GB game, and I'm hoping Rodgers is out because I believe it would make an enormous difference in the outcome of the game.

This is true if Rodgers were to be in mid-season form. Lets say he does play(he won't)......they guy still has a broken clavicle that is not 100% healed, that takes a few months. His mechanics will be off, there will be pain with every throw and it even hurts to breath under certain physical conditions. It would only take one knockdown to re-break it.

He would not be too effective this Sunday. Sure, he could possibly be better than a healthy Flynn but it would not be enough to overcome his physical limitations for this next game. There is not a clear advantage of starting Rodgers over Flynn at this point.

I have broken my collarbone and you do not come back and play this soon, especially in the NFL even if it is against a powder puff defense. Therefore, I conclude that our team has as good a chance at beating the Packers no matter which QB plays in a few days but it will not be Aaron, he is done for the season IMO.

We also have an equal chance of losing no matter which guy plays.

Relax. Aaron Rodgers cannot play. 4-6 weeks after a complete fracture? The bone hasn't fully healed. All it takes is one lineman or even a LB to fall on him and the injury is career threatening. He can not play.

This defense can't stop ANY quarterback. Tim Tebow could start and put up 7 TDs passing, 450 yds, 79% completion percentage, 14.5 yards per attempt. And make our DBs look like absolute garbage while doing it.

I'd just like to point out Rod Marinelli has done an amazing job this year.

Only if you're assuming Rodgers is significantly limited physically (I'm not just talking rust) does this hold any water. And the assumption ought to be that, if he's playing, he's physically cleared to play. Under any other circumstances, a physically cleared Aaron Rodgers is so much better than Matt Flynn it's not even funny. I don't care how rusty the guy is, or what part of the season's form he's in. He's a much, much better QB, and, for a team that struggles against good QBs, we really don't want to see him starting that game.

Of course he is better if he is cleared to play meaning the bone has healed. I am not including the rust, that would drop off rather quickly. I am just saying he will not get cleared if it was indeed a clear break, the bone does not heal that fast. That is why he still feels some pain throwing in practice and that will not change in the next three days.

I will concede that he might play the following week if GB wins this Sunday due to still being in the hunt however unlikely that may be.
