I feel sorry and still do for the people affected by Katrina.
what i most object to is the diefication of the Saints as helping that town, helping to rebuild it, carrying the torch, etc. ad nauseum.
When Katrina struck and in the aftermath of Katrina, nobody on that team wanted to do anything for New Orleans or AT New Orleans. They all ran, and I don't blame them, like scared rabbits. Also, all the famed musicians and stars living there bolted to other places deemed civilized and habitable.
The Saints and their owner abandoned N.O. and moved their mansions to Texas and other states. Even the owner was talking about relocating the team because of the aging Dome.
but back to my point: The team didn't come back until the town was habitable.
My sorrow extends to all affected by Katrina. Just don't portray the team as real saints who stayed to help their fellow denizens.
Because that is not the case.
