Absolutely frustrated

So Dez is average but Dak sucks?

Dez was never close to average until Dak arrived.

You’re just a Dak and Dez apologist. I’m finished arguing with people like you. The results speak for themselves. All you have is excuses...you sound like Garrett. “Give it time, blah blah blah.”

Dallas first team guys were rusty because they are so fragile coaches won't play them in the preseason.

Dez is not a Cowboy. Let's not worry about him.

Dak has the year to prove himself. He's off to a bad start. His inaccuracy issues are becoming magnified.

Should have run Zeke more. 15 carries is a joke. It was a 1 score game.

I just can't believe we as fans are being put through another year of Jason Garrett and Scott Linehan. It's so frustrating and just pretty much ruined our season before it ever had a chance.

If Dallas is to have a good year we will have to do what we've done in the past and that's win in spite of these guys somehow.

Things that went right:

I thought the punter Jones was amazing. He was the MVP of our team yesterday.

Taco Charlton looked really good.

Demarcus Lawrence doesn't look like a 1 year wonder.

Overall the defense just played a good game outside of not being prepared for Cam to run the football.

I loved some of those blitzes on 3rd down. Overall the pass rush was impressive.

Things that went wrong:

Offensive scheme is still absolute trash.

Jaylon Smith still looks like Long John Silver at linebacker. His blitzes were really nice but anytime he has to turn quick he looks like a sail boat.

Sean Lee was awful. Missing routine tackles and giving up big plays.

Dak's accuracy was poor. I know it was raining a lot but my gosh.

TE's are trash.

If i'm an NFL Defensive Tackle i'd take 1 look at Connor Williams and know that im not going to get roughed up much. He needs time. He may not make many mental mistakes but he has a ways to go physically.

Final thoughts:

Don't give up on Dak yet. Be patient with him. I still think he's going to be a really good player for us but he's not ever going to wow us as a prolific passer. He needs to be FORCED to use his legs more by the coaches.

Get Vander Esch more involved on pass downs.

Play Rico. (Seriously what have you got to lose) He might make a wow play in your offense that requires players to overcome your scheme.

Getting rid of Dez Bryant was stupid and we are a worse football team without him. I'd trade all of our WR's for him right now.

First & foremost it appeared we hadn't prepared at all (either side of the ball) for the team we were facing.

I agree that overall the D was quite good. How do you not come prepared for Cam to run though? He & CMac are their only two threats. It took them almost the entire first half to decide not to crash down on every play.

Offensively, please. You know their front 7 is quite good. Same ole crap about trying to overpower them right off the bat. The things we did try just weren't executed very well. Add in an inconsistent quarterback & you got ... yesterdays offensive output.

I've seen this story before, I've seen Dak for enough games to know he's not going to be a savior for this team. Dak is
not Romo...not now, not ever. We can expect another half decade of misery and defeat.

It's reprehensible and sad that the Dallas coaches and players will get paid for that pile of poop they spread
all over the field yesterday. What a season opening debacle!

32 teams don't want Dez. Don't blame Dak.

Well 30.. He has been offered 2 contracts that the public knows of.

Him being unemployed is kind of by choice so I don't get why the Dez Naysayers use this as some type of source of validation when he could easily be on a roster if he would've just agreed to an offer.

No I made a good point and this is your response.

I find it shocking how Dez went from being the best in the business at scoring TD's and one of the best ever at winning a 50/50 ball but at the very young WR age of 28 he just forgot how to play football.

I you’re gonna have a bad offense at least make sure you have a good punter. We have that.

Dez thinks too highly of himself. Point is, your go-to guy to kick is Dak.

He forgot how to care about football and injuries sapped what little speed he had and most of his athleticism.

Dez has never been a speed guy and oh btw how well did all of that added speed help those guys yesterday?

Dez is more like Julio and like Julio he is being neutered by his coaching staff and that's with an above average QB.

No im a Dak fan. I'm just not delusional when it comes to his ability.

Daks a good player but he's not a prolific passer.

Antonio Brown isn't Antonio Brown with Garrett and Dak.

That goes for every receiver on down.

The Dallas Cowboys are going to do what they do. Doesn't losing the season opener seem like it's just one of those things they do? This seems so familiar.
Not really. The Cowboys win their week 1 matchups almost 70% of the time (in the Super Bowl era).

Dak wasn't Dak yesterday. He seems to have had the guy we liked his rookie year coached out of him and now he throws bad balls rather than run out of bad situations,

He had a lack of tendencies too his rookie year and we were in 3rd and short a lot.

Now we have loads of tendencies and we play right into them. It puts us at a disadvantage.
