Absolutely frustrated

Julio was second in the NFL in yardage last year, and had more targets than when Shanahan was with Atlanta in 2016. TDs were down though. That's the only area that was notably down.

Also, Julio was targeted 19 times yesterday - 44% of Atlanta's passing attempts were directed at Julio.

Dez only had as many targets once in his career as Julio had last year, and Dez never had as many yards in a season as Julio had last year. Dez was more of a TD guy than Julio, though.

Targets are irrelevant really. If Dez had more targets he'd have better numbers. Especially if MAtt Ryan were throwing those passes instead of Dak.

Julio was a better player with Shannahan.

I think our problems with the defense is mostly rust. Sean Lee didn't become an idiot overnight. What worries me is the offense. That's not rust. We have a serious problem there and I don't think it is limited to talent.

They aren't irrelevant when someone says a receiver (Julio) is being neutered by his team. That suggests the team isn't making an effort to use and get the most out of him. The targets show otherwise, and that he is still easily the focus of the passing game for Atlanta. But even aside from targets, he had the second most yardage in the entire NFL last year. How in the world does that add up to the team "neutering" him?

The entire offense in Atlanta was better with Shanahan. That's not from "neutering" Julio. He's still the viewed and used as the star receiver.
