According to agent, now 6 teams have inquired about Sensy

Don't bother. It's become more and more clear the last couple of years that we have fans here who don't actually watch the games.

Evidently so. I'm not trying to make Sensabaugh into some super safety but he is a good solid player who does a good job in the secondary. I wish we could have pro bowl players at every position but that is just not going to happen you need solid players like Sensabaugh in your lineup who will not get you beat. Granted I don't want to see Dallas over pay to keep him but I think he is a good contributor to this team.

Sensi was one of the big reasons why we could control the better TEs we faced. He played them better then Scandrick most of the time.

The only big play he gave up was that one against Minni and that was just a play that comes around 1 time in 10 years. That was a perfect pass thrown with alot of luck. The player was never free. That was kind of a hail mary by captain ahab aka grey beard favre.

now you want to put hamlin at ss ? when the biggest criticism hamlin faced was his play against the run where he seemed to be to soft ?

He also had a PI against Malcolm Floyd in the Chargers game. But those thinking Sensebaugh is not worth keeping and didn't play well for us don't know what they're talking about.

Im a sensi fan, & cant understand why we would let him go, when he still has upside and wants to be here. He did a nice job with a broken wrist.

Great news! Bring on the 2nd round pick. We're not talking about a game changing safety here.

Clone him and get 5 more 2nd rd picks:)

I'll take a 2nd rd pick. If so, great coup for Jerry. Sign a guy for little coin and turn it into a 2nd rd pick. Sounds good to me.

If someone offered him a large contract with an early 2nd, I would have to think about letting him go. I think he will do better next year for two reasons: 1) More comfortable in our system 2) His hand will be healed, which will mean he can run just a bit faster and actually hold onto some of those picks. He's no Ed Reed in his prime, but then again he's not a free safety. Hamlin is the weak link at this point.

Six anonymous teams have inquired about my client Mr Jones.

Each has expressed interest in signing a long term deal but we have yet to schedule a visit.

I'm surprised there are so many people who have issues with Sensabaugh's season last year. He played well for us coming in as a FA. We'd be smart to resign him once his market value is established, and I"m pretty sure we will.

He's a decent starter, I wouldnt break the bank to keep him longterm though (like they did with the hamlin contract)

If he wants to stay longterm and signs for a fair deal, fine. If he wants Hamlin or Rolle money, c ya.

I get the feeling it's more of a pressure tactic from his agent then anything.

I do too. They are fishing, either to pressure the Cowboys to signing him for more $$$ than he can get in FA. Or to get other teams interested in giving a larger contract than the other supposedly interested teams.

So 6 teams are interested in Sensy, but none have scheduled a visit???

This sounds like agent BS to me, somebody would schedule a visit if this was legit. The fact is nobody is going to give up a 2nd round pick for a safety that had no interceptions this past season.

You don't watch the Cowboys.

Actually, 32 NFL teams have some level of interest in him. I'd be willing to bet that the entire CFL does too. It may be time to hit the panic button.

i like him but if dallas could upgrade at fs, i really dont see why dallas wouldnt let sensabaugh go and replace him with hamlin. they basically did the same thing last yr. both were good vs the run, but covered really good in thre flats, and both were torched down the field.

ill take a 2nd for sensabaugh and smile

Sense was 10x better in man coverage.

I'd rather resign Sense to a cap-friendly medium length deal and get rid of Hamlin.

I'm a big fan of Sensy. The guy worked very well in our system and was a great team guy. He was assigned some of the tougher tight ends to cover this year, Brent Celic, Gonzales, Shockey etc and did a great job. He doesn't get too high or too low emotionally. Solid against the run and has good speed to cover the WR when he has too. Takes responsibiltiy for his mistakes and doesn't have his head on a swivel looking for someone to blame when things go bad like one guy we had to get rid of. He even played solid when he was coming off an injury. He's one keeper at Safety.

We need someone else on the other side with size, speed and cover skills. Could be M. Hamilin, but his speed worries me. M. Hamlin might have been beaten deep if he had to cover Rice on that play where Sensy got beat in Minny, but M. Hamlin might not have been able to even be in position to make a play on the ball like Sensy was if he'd have looked back in time. So I'm hoping we draft a big corner or a FAST safety to replace K. hamlin on the other side. But I really hope we keep Gerald.

Sensabaugh gave up a big play vs Minn other than that he was not getting torched down field on the season Dallas gave up only 5 plays of 40 yards or more so getting beat down field was not an overall issue with the secondary

how many did they give up under that 40? 40 is basically half the field. dallas gave up plenty of plays. and sensabaugh and hamlin gave up alot of those.

He also got beat on that TD by Gates against SD. Granted he's a tough guy to cover, but he wasn't even close.

Overall he was solid though.

exactly, just because he doesnt give up 40 yrds all the time doesnt mean hes not being beat. the safty posistion is the weakest spot on the whole team

Every team gives up plays Dallas allot less than many others. Our secondary play was not bad at all. We may not have had alot of Ints but that is not the only thing you judge a secondary on.

my point being theres really is no difference between hamlin and sensabaugh. somebody posted hes 10% better. so he gives up 1 less pass every 10. and i agree i doubt sensabaugh will be anything but a cowboy this yr. but what i am saying is a 2nd rd pick for him would be a good deal for dallas
