According to you, what is our most glaring need?

Fixed it for ya...

The game is won or lost on the O-Line. I would draft OL every year in the somewhere first 3 rounds, EVERY year!

You go, Thump...and a defensive line 'ugly' also.

I don't think Dallas is in critical need situation. I do think we should address the OLine due to age along the line and I think we should look at upgrading areas like safety.

We do need to pick up some help along the OL, and I would feel better knowing that we have someone capable of stepping in and performing at a competitive level if Ratliff goes down with an injury. I also would like to see some help at safety, that's been a weak spot for us for too long.

Easy to look at the Vikings game and scream that our line needs to be completely revamped. But thats one of the loudest domes in sports, we lost Flo, Colombo was on one foot, and our team was constantly losing the momentum battle. For the most part they played solid football last year, especially in the running game.

So I don't want to go OL in the 1st and reach for a guy. I hope we go BPA all day and add some dynamic, athletic, play makers to both sides of the ball.

No, we shouldn't ever reach. That is why you have to manage the draft appropriately and no when to trade up, trade down or just sit where you are and take BPA at a position of non-urgent need if the situation looks like it is going to arise.

We should definitely bring in at least one and preferably two OL in the first 3 rounds as we don't just need depth but need to draft guys who can start in the next 1-2 years.

The future of our OL needs to be addressed ASAP, but I don't think the team has any glaring holes. However, the one thing that I think would put this team over the top is more defensive turnovers. Gimme a playmaking safety, please.

LG

Kosier played well, but adding a guy like Iupati or Pouncey there, fixes our 3rd and 1/4th and one woes (not to mention choice being the short yardage back). IMO, teams knew we were running behind LDavis and were able to stack their D there, fixing this problem should fix a lot of our redzone problems.

either tackle and than left guard followed by center.

Flo is old and slow

Colombo isn't as old but is also slow

Kosier is solid but he's weak

Gurode is solid but he's dumb. we need a center who is smart and is a leader.

#27 pick...

Mike Iupati, G, Idaho will probably be the best talent still available at an area of need for us.

But combined, they're a helluva group!

It may not be addressed during the first round this year, but offensive line is the team's most glaring need. Not only do we need to prepare for the upcoming season (i.e. quality depth), but we must pave the way for transitioning from our current line to its successor.

The core of any good offense and/or defense is its respective line. Always has been. Always will be.

I keep seeing posts of people wanting a new FS in the 1st round, but I don't think replacing Hamlin is our most glaring need. I think we need a 3-4 DT and depth behind our o-line starters. Age is becoming a factor there and we're one injury away from disaster if Ratliff gets injured. I want to go for a DT in the 1st round. But I can also see us drafting another corner. It seems to me we have enough safeties. JMO

What is your most glaring need?

A real head Coach but that train is going no where

yeah, they're some really nice guys. ask that Vikings D-line how nice they were to let them get to our qb so quickly all game.

Gurode really is under rated among cowboy fans.
I think the exact opposite.

that would be nice too.

Perhaps another really good young corner to stop the Saints offense.
I believe the last time we played them we stopped that Saints offense.

thats pretty harsh.

you look around the league right now and then look at us and I think we are in good shape.

Wade did a terrific job two weeks in a row against maybe one of the top 3 coaches left in the league in Andy Reid. So I dont really see how wade in any regard can be cited as a weakness.

I think our front office and the coaching staff have alot of cohesion, I think after this past season the players have alot of cohesion. That is good. Tension is good to amongst players and coaches, you dont want it to be relaxed but I think they are all on good ground right now.

So really to me when you look around the league, the head coaches are not all that impressive, at least as impressive as the league has been in the past. Wades intelligence is a major plus, especially when you are going to have games against terrific offenses led by terrific quarterbacks this season.

If he could only figure out kevin gilbride and tom coughlins offense we would be in even better shape.

I really think if we could get a top safety we should draft him. We can get solid OL help in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
