Acho undercuts his own argument when he tries to dismiss Tad’s point about Wentz being the former #2 overall pick by saying “Draft selection holds no merit after your rookie season” and then brings up the point Dak is playing with two former 1st round picks.

Yeah he took a L there.

That being said, it seems like Dak and his camp still want him to be treated like the 4th round underdog out of Mississippi State. I cringed when Dak brought that up during his media session a few weeks ago.

Zeke was close in 2016 when he set the league on fire. Hasn't been the same since.

Great 2016 but didnt had that kind of speed. He also had the best line the NFL in 2016. Taylor has 3 or 4 starters missing the last few games. Although healthy they are definitely one of the best.

notice how Acho used stats and had a logic based argument but Tad used insults and emotion based arguments? That’s how these tend to go.

IMO, Acho did a good job of throwing out chaff until he found an argument where he thought Tad was weak.

His first counter was that Wentz would have better stats if he had two first round receivers, and then later admitted draft position doesn’t matter in the NFL.

He then ends with “I’ll be at the super bowl, will Dak?”.

Which…

A. Means he’s placing the expectation on Dak that he gets to the super bowl; something that is purely, mathematically less likely to happen than the alternative for EVERY quarterback in the league.

B. This expectation is a team accomplishment anyway…

And C: Acho doesn’t set the same expectation for Carson Wentz.

Long story short, Acho is exercising his troll skills rather than the wealth of actual game knowledge he surely has.

Looks like comparing QB's brings out the inner child in everybody. Both Tad and Acho look foolish in my opinion.

This entire Dak-Wentz thing is garbage. Two different QB's in two completely different offenses being asked to do completely different things. Wentz is basically managing a run-oriented offense- that's how he won a game against New England completing seven passes.
