Tully Banta-Cain has been in the league for 4 seasons now. He is not a pass rush specialist, but he is able to generate pressure from the OLB position in a 34. He is just now starting to develope into what he will be physically. Cain can cover in space and he plays the run pretty strong. He had 43 tackles this season with 31 unassisted. He is not the dominating pass rusher everybody wants but he is a guy who can prevent other teams from isolating Ware. You must account for him. He would be reasonable IMO, he plays for a team that will not pay him big money, he knows the system so there is very little learning curve, he's championship tested and he comes from a winning organization. The fact that he's still young makes him attractive from a contract stand point. He became a starter this season. His father was a player for Navy, Jeff Leonard (OF SF Giants) and Rodney Rogers (F - NBA) are his cousins. He is a pretty good athlete. He's a good special teams player as well. 42 tackles in 38 career games on ST. 5.5 Sacks his first year starting is not too bad. I think he will continue to develop. I think he's exactly the kind of player we should be looking for in FA, long term.
