Per Wikipedia, Schefter was born somehwre in New York, attended both the University of Michigan and Northwestern University.

Maybe he's a closet Eagles fan. God knows I'd stay in the closet if I was an Eagles fan.

Shefter is alright in my book, one of the best things going on NFL Network these days (which isn't saying much). Who cares what he thinks? He's either right or he's wrong -- only time will tell.

So, what you're basically saying is those who rated them, i.e. the media, are now saying they were wrong?

They may have been overrated last year. But, they can't be overrated this year based on last year's results, when all of the things I mentioned have taken place.

actually, I tend to agree. I could see us winning the division and STILL having to play week 1. I agree we have a lot of personalities on this team and I question if Wade is the right guy to manager them...I do not however question the talent on this team!

this team is 0-2 in the playoffs, i'd love to hear a reasonable argument on why what Aikman did on the down side of his carer or Quincy did in the playoffs have any impact on the current teams ability to win in the playoffs

While I'm hopeful of a playoff win, most of these players have nothing to do with the last 12 years. I've actually heard guys on ESPN use that as a reason why the Cowboys will disappoint. Half of the team was in grade school 12 years ago, and only a handful of players on the team have played in more than 2 playoff games.

Other than the Jones family, the only Cowboys who've suffered through the last 12 years are the fans. We have, what, 2 guys who've been here since prior to '02? Questioning them because of the loss to the Giants last year is one thing, but trying to tie the team to what happned in the late 90's is downright stupid.

King's comments that the NFL East will beat itself up with Vikes & Seattle getting top 2 seeds is dumb. Just like it was dumb in the very early 90s when the same exact thing was said. Well if I recall correctly the Giants won the SB in Jan 91; Skins in Jan 92; Cowboys in Jan 93/Jan 94 & Jan 96. Guess the East worked it out to the satisfaction of some; particularly the Cowboys. OTOH, Eagles couldn't have been happy with the outcome.

I thought Eagles fans spent most of their time coming out of the closet. Maybe I'm wrong?

Sports Illustrated had the Cowboys graded higher than the Eagles in every category but one, and still predicted Philly to take the division. Makes a lot of sense.
