I don't think there's one player on this team that I'd opt to keep over two 1's.

Dez Bryant...

Easily our best player, without him, we don't stand a fighting chance

Who's the best player is debatable. We stand a much lower chance without Romo than without Dez on the offensive end. I'd bet we also have a much higher chance of drafting a great receiver than QB.

As good as he is, Dez is not our best player. Come on... We stand a much lower chance without Romo than without Dez on the offensive end. I'd bet we also have a much higher chance of drafting a great receiver than QB.

Factor in age, and his play making ability...he has the most Value of any Cowboy right now.

Romo is right there with him

I agree Dez is extremely valuable. But if your franchise QB can be had for two 1's, your WR sure as heck can too unless you're just desperate to get rid of the QB.

I'd be okay the two first rounders for Romo but one of them would have to be a top 10 pick to make it worthwhile.

If we are talking about trading him to a team picking in the 20s this year I'd probably want a little something extra. Such a team would probably be catapulting themselves into a SB contender.

Now who would want to trade for Romo? The teams I can think of are Tampa Bay, Cleveland, NY Jets, Minnesota and Tennessee. The Eagles would probably be interested but we won't deal him within our own division. Jacksonville should be interested but the owner is a cheapskate.

As much as I love Romo I think the Cowboys should probably be overhauled. The quickest way to get it one would be to deal Romo and Ware for ammunition to re-load the roster more quickly. The salary cap flexibility we would gain by the 2014 season would put us in an enviable position in the FA market to fill roster holes - by then we'd have Romo, Ware Ratliff, Spencer and Free of the dole.

10-6!! book it!

Well, we did go 10-6 one year with Quincy Carter, but we'd have to have a weak schedule and a lot of breaks like we did that year.

And Grossman...and Cassel.

He never had the Chiefs starting job.

Chicago would have won that SB w/Orton!

Orton is the modern day Brad Johnson circa 2000

It is starting to seem like maybe Romo doesn't want to resign but I just don't think he can be traded fairly. While teams would probably be tripping over themselves to get to the phones if he was a UFA, I can't see one giving up major picks when he has one year left and then can bail.

It would have to be a good deal for him for no other reason than Jerry would o overpay him just to keep him from leaving for nothing. Of course things like this happen from time to time and our FO seems to be pretty adept at getting the short end of the trade deal since Jimmy and The Vikings.

Kyle Orton could never get us more than an 8 win season, so you'd have to be crazy to trade Romo...

Two first rounders could be Brady Quinn and Tyson Jackson...or Joey Harrington and Braylon Edwards...or Bobby Carpenter and Felix Jones.

No thanks. I'll keep my top 10 QB and press on.
