It’s 2024……not scared of a acl injury.
I like the Sam Williams pick. I think he's done good besides a couple of bone headed plays he's made. The track record on that hasn't been very good, has it?
Shoot, let's look at all the Cowboys' 2nd round scratch-and-dent specials this side of Sean Lee.
Bruce Carter
Randy Gregory
Jaylon Smith
Sam Williams
Kelvin Joseph
Are there any of those guys we ended up happy about?
I actually like wright, reminds me of Alvin KIt feels like most scouts consider Brooks and Trey Benson to be the RB1a and RB1b in this class.
After them, there is a drop off. There’s a few talented guys, but Brooks and Benson are the guys in this class that can immediately change a backfield.
If Dallas passes on them in the second round, there could be a run on RBs before their third round selection.
yes, only thing is I think they may like Peyton Wilson better. He has a very long history of injury, which may be more appealing than just one ACL.Well if he is coming off of a major injury or a head case , Jerry will jump all over him in the Second Round.
The above is our second round criteria.
Yep.Why is it always the Cowboys that let everyone know who they are about to draft? It's like if Jerry would show the draft board to the media...........oh wait.
It’s 2024……not scared of a acl injury.
No chance he is ready, but the guy isn't going to tank his draft stock by saying anything else. ACL surgery takes time and there really isn't a way around that. 9 months to a year pretty much every time for these. Anyone who drafts this guy should have the mindset that he could contribute in 2024 but is probably starting out on the PUP list.So help me .......if we take another injury project in the second round again.
Still has conflicting reports on if he will even be ready for training camp. He's said he's ready but have read other articles that say he would be limited duty
Thats my thinking...what are the odds someone takes him at 55? Seems to happen every yearThey'll be lucky if he's there at 56, he would be a steal at 56, grades out slightly above Gibbs who the Lions took early in round 1 last year.
They are not letting it be known. This is a reporter speculating. Based on what little info he actually has.Oh good I'm Glad we are letting the whole world know in case someone wants to draft him before us or trade up
Yeah mentally can be a killer for sure.True, unless there's some mental "injury" that comes along with it a la Gallup.
I mean to be fair there is a reason people fall to the second round. It is either based on potential or based on an injury. You can pick your poison.Lol another 2nd round pick coming off major injury, what else is new?
I’m on the same page Bob. As a UT fan, I’ve watched him every game and he’s a great back. But as you pointed out, we need someone ready on day 1.I like Brooks. But I’m a little surprised more hasn’t been said about his knee injury which happened the second week of November last year. He tore his ACL and while I’m confident he will recover I find it hard to believe he’s even 90% by training camp.
The Cowboys need a RB who’s ready on Day one. Recovering from an ACL tear usually takes at least nine months. As of now, his rehab has been 5 months. Makes me a little hesitant on Brooks.
Then you just take Benson and take the healthier guy!Thats my thinking...what are the odds someone takes him at 55? Seems to happen every year
Bensen had an acl also.I dont have a huge problem taking a RB at 56 id just rather it be Benson. We have crap luck taking injurred players.
