Adam, won't Petitti get a huge NFLPA bonus this year?

From waht I recall, players that play a large number of downs beyond what's expected of them based on experience and salary have received end of year bonuses from the NFLPA as a kind of performance award.

I think by that formula, Petitti might receive a bonus comparable to/larger than his entire rookie salary! I mean, a 6th round pick playing every down at RT for 16 games?

Rob had a tough season. I was of the few in the draft zone praising him as he came in overweight and injured.

I think he was thrown in not ready ar healthy. I'm hoping a year of NFL weight training gets him ready. That said - I want a Vet to get in his grill and play the best....

BS that Petitti and Tucker can perform so poor and we have no "backups" in place.....

IF he hit me (I say if because I would make him move his feet first) I would deserve it but at the same time I don't think anyone hear has a problem calling Cundiff the suck when he misses a kick so I don't see the diference.

He's one of the worst players I've ever seen on our OL. Most lineman carry weight and gerth with plenty of muscle...Pettitti is the opposite he's completely out of shape and his footwork suffers from it. I coach the OL & QB's at the HS level - the OL is all about balance and footwork. Mark Stepnoski , who is undersized, very undersized actually was a ProBowler b/c of his footwork and burst handspeed to the defenders chest. Pettiti is rountinely beat wide b/c he's slow outta shoot and his first step is almost always off balance which is doubly worse b/c of his high body fat percentage.
Pettiti projects as a backup at best - most likely an inactive taxi squad guy.
And IMHO I think he is only here b/c he's from Jersey. However it;s not like he's from Newark or Patterson or Jersey City , he's from a lilly white Central Jersey town.
