Impressed on their pro day today, all I know is that 25 teams (scouts) came to watch both of these players and both of them impressed scouts because that is what a certain site has told me. I also know that borth Savage and Bowman ran the 40. But I do not have any more does anyone have information?

That would be the first time Adrius "impressed" in a while, I wouldn't mind seeing him added to the Cowboys in the late 3rd to 4th rounds though.

If Bowman impressed really well I bet he would be picked up in the 2nd round

I assume that I can post this....

"Bowman improved on his measurables with a 33.5-inch vertical jump, a 9-8.5-inch broad jump, and 16 reps on the 225-pound bench press rep test. Bowman, who had run a best 4.69 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the combine, did run an improved 4.62 on the turf at Boone Pickens Stadium. The All-Big 12 receiver had 67 receptions for 1,006 yards and 8 touchdowns last season.

Savage showed up early but then disappeared during some of the testing. He actually left to go take a test in one of his classes and then came back to run the 40. At the combine the speedy running back ran a 4.5, but today he clocked a 4.43.5 and a 4.4 flat. Both times were improved and should"

Those numbers are still pretty crappy.

Hey, I didn't say they were impressive.. Bowman has bust written all over him and in my estimation will be a 4th round pick. Savage however would be a nice addition to any team who took him in the 4th or 5th. He seems like a nice "change of pace" guy. Which by the way is what we are looking for.. (As long as we picked up a FA vet.)

oh, I wasn't talking about you, just the OP had in his post that the scouts in attendance were impressed by both of them

I'd take him in the 4th round in a heartbeat. His 18.0 YPC (9.3 YPA) over his last two seasons just can't be ignored. He looks good on film. Maybe he just didn't train well this offseason.

He is what he is, a possesion WR. Problem is, possesion WR's should have good hands and that's the main knock on the kid.

He caught 62% of his passes targeted at him, which is pretty good for a college receiver. And 30% of his catches were for over 20 yards. So I'm not sure "possession receiver" with "bad hands" really describes his play in college. He only had 11 passes deflected against him out 108 passes, so it seems he does have ability to gain separation, even if it's using his body instead of his speed.

He was a pretty good college WR. Let's just see how his triangle numbers translate to the PRO game at WR. Between his knee, character issues, dropping balls late in his final season and poor 40 time, i can't see teams taking him any higher than the 2nd. He may turn out to be a good WR, but i highly doubt he produces in the Pro game like he did in college. JMO

Yeah, he's definitely out of the first. There's no question there. But I'd be okay with taking him in the 3rd. He's no more a risk than taking Stanback where we did just a handful of spots after out 3rd round pick this year.
