Adarius Bowman and Dantrell Savage

Yeah, he's definitely out of the first. There's no question there. But I'd be okay with taking him in the 3rd. He's no more a risk than taking Stanback where we did just a handful of spots after out 3rd round pick this year.

For sure.

I'd like Bowman if I were running a WCO. In our scheme, he could be somewhat productive running crossing routes, but that is it. Teams would know that he gets little to no seperation (on traditional routes) so as a posesion receiver, he would have to have great hands and body control (the jurry is definately out on that one). DB's would be jumping outs, slants, and curls all day long...

Still like Savage though

I agree. He was pretty darn productive to be such a terrible athlete with no hands. ;)

BTW, I'd take Savage as a very late round 3rd down back. He's not very big, but he plays his heart out every single play... Kind of a Barber-lite.

All I did was read the front page of scout and saw some pics on okstate.com web site, and said that they impressed. Now as far as Bowman, if you watch the big 12 you know Bowman is a very talented reciever, its like people did not know about Boldin who ran a similar time. Bowman just knows how to play football, its not all about who can run the fastest and all that junk. Too many people take those things to heart. I bet there is plenty of people who had good times and a good combine but never amount to anything.

Savage is also going to be a steal for someone. He can run! He can read holes well, catch, and plays all out. He is a playmaker. Both players will be absolute steals in this draft.

After reading this thread, I don't know if he is a slight reach in the 2nd, about a 3rd, or could slip into the 4th round. Does he have good hands or not? His measurables don't impress I do know that.

The only bad measurable really is his 40 time thats about it. People thinks he has horrible hands but he really doesnt. If he was from LSU or USC he would of been much more talked about and higer ranked from other people. However, I dont go about doing that, I go by work ethic and game tape. That is what majority of scouts really do. So you have to base it on your own opinion.

I have talked about how I wanted Bowman really bad when I saw him play two years ago, I think, that tailed off with his forty time. I still want to draft him but he is no longer a priority for our team. My original thought was a TO possible replacement. He will never be that. I loved the way he played in college and dominated. The advantage he has because of size will be minimized in the NFL now. He will need a few years to come around. We need a receiver with speed to stretch the field.

According to rotoworld, he ran a 4.76 at his OSU pro day.

And it's not just his 40 time that knock him. He had a horrible week of Senior Bowl practices, where couldn't catch a cold. He was also extremely inconsistent at Oklahoma State. He would look like a TO clone one moment, and then drop off the face of the earth the next. Also added into the mix is that he trasfered to OSU after being kicked off North Carolina's football team for marijuanna possession, and that one was reportedly just the one that broke the camel's back.

I think it's quite possible that the Okie State offensive system inflated his numbers

he doesn't look to promising, and the 9-8" long jump is extremely weak

Why is that? They only passed 386 times in '07, which is fewer the half the NCAA teams. Are you just making this up as you go? He wasn't targeted an abnormal amount of times. I think his yardage is high because he caught a high percentage of the passes thrown to him, and had a high percentage of those catches go for 20+ yards.

Impressed on their pro day today, all I know is that 25 teams (scouts) came to watch both of these players and both of them impressed scouts because that is what a certain site has told me. I also know that borth Savage and Bowman ran the 40. But I do not have any more does anyone have information?

I want the Cowboys to impress me by not even looking in the direction of Adarius Bowman.

I think Bowman is a 3rd round receiver who'll get picked in the late 2nd. He's a physical specimen, but he disappeared too often. That may be due to the sub-par QB play and the lack of other threats (aside from Savage). I'm actually more impressed with Savage--now he's a player who will make a place for himself in the NFL. (not full time, but he'll contribute--speed, moves, toughness--he's just small).

NFL | Bowman works out at Pro Day
Thu, 13 Mar 2008 09:00:29 -0700

Daniel Mogollon, of NFLDraftBible.com, reports Oklahoma State WR Adarius Bowman worked out at his school's Pro Day Wednesday, March 12. Bowman ran a 4.76 40-yard dash, a 7.22-second three-cone drill, a 4.68-second 20-yard shuttle, a 12-second 60-yard shuttle, had a 33 1/2-inch vertical jump and a nine-foot, eight 1/2-inch broad jump. He completed 16 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press, which was up from his 14 repetitions at the 2008 NFL Scouting Combine.

Bowman tore up the combine placing top 5 in pretty much everything he tried.

Huh?? Top 5???? Oh, I see where you made your mistake...

High scores are bad when it comes to timed drills.

That 7.22 three cone is shockingly bad. There are offensive lineman who performed better.

Bowman runs faster than a 4.76, anyone who has watched him play in person knows better. I am not saying he's fast because he is not, but I do know that he runs faster than a 4.76. I don't think he is a first rounder, but he is for sure a worth a look in the 2nd round. He put up some great numbers as a Cowboy. Yes, he was inconsistent, but saying all that he put up some great numbers at Oklahoma State and you can't say that about someone like Sweed and Early Doucet and Desean Jackson for their teams. He has the potential to be good he just needs to put all of the talent he has together.

I think he was slowed because he was screaming as he ran the drill. Some scouts were reporting they heard him say...

"I'm a man. I run the 40"

A 4.76? That's horrible.

Keyshawn might even be able to do that.

I saw that they did everything outside... They wouldn't have done it into the wind, would they? It was kind of windy there yesterday...

how are those impressive? so much for being a TO clone

I think T.O time in the 40 was similar too Bowmans at the combine

But I dont think he is a clone T.O for sure

not to mention the 4.68 short-shuttle, that's terrible

no speed, no agility, no quickness, no explosion
