Adding even more at DT?

Jerry started the entire press conference setting up the trade as Clark vs Parsons. That’s why Clark *must* succeed or at least be perceived as successful.

Jerry has like been criticized for keeping players too long. Consider this is a legacy trade, I don’t think Jerry sees Clark as short term at all.

Now, we as fans, obviously see how the years layout ahead and are already anticipating a cut after 2026. I just dont think Jerry can allow it, due to the investment of his credibility
Which means Jerry was doing what Jerry does best: selling to anyone who'll buy the angle he's pushing

When you say 5, you mean Dallas' own pick, right? Green Bay's will be more like 20-32.
The Packers pick is yet to be determined Imagine a Packers team without Parsons and with Willis at qb. The Packers pick will likely be under 28.

For a team that doesn't like to invest in DT's, it's difficult seeing them spending available salary cap or future draft capital at the position. They like roll with what they have:

Osa
Clark
Thomas
Smith
Toia
Winfrey
Is Toia NFL ready / worthy ?

Clark is not old. You're nuts. He's 29 soon to be 30. He's not 35. Since when do you need to be 25 to be a good DT?
At 30 the decline begins....

And if he is 30 and not old then is Dak. Being 30 not old?

I am.sure the answer as often is the case is he is highest paid.

Clark is old.

OSA slightly above a JAG.
To be fair, age isnt really a concern at the DT position. 30 is fine. Now Clark's play dipped last year. So I guess we'll find out this season if that can be attributed to the injury or if he's in fact slowing down - some analysts believe he is washed.

I hope he has at least 1 great year left in him. His contract it designed to be cut after this year so I doubt they keep him next year.
Green Bay is paying most of his salary this year and its a pile. He isn't that expensive to us next year.
