Tony Romo 2013 Passer Rating when throwing to Miles Austin:
22 for 43 (51% completion percentage)
222 yards (5.2 Yards Per Attempt)
0 TDs
1 INT
56.5 passer rating

Some may blame Austin's health, some may blame Austin's effort level, some may blame the quarterback, but whatever the case may be the team was more efficient when Miles was not getting the football thrown in his direction, and I anticipate that being the case in 2014 as well.

On NFL Live on ESPN, they insinuated that Miles Austin's hamstrings and other issues had to do with him not necessarily being in proper shape, or not working out properly in the off-season.

I would be interested to see if there's anyone who has heard anything else about that.

It would be a more effective argument if you listed the corresponding numbers when Romo was throwing to all receivers or each one individually.

Numbers for each receiver, regardless of QB:

Harris: 14 tgts /9 rec/ 80yds /2tds/ 0 ints 119 rating

TWill:
72 tgts/ 44 rec/ 736yds/ 5tds/ 2 ints 107.2 rating

Dez:
156 tgts/ 93 rec/ 1249 yds/ 13 tds/ 3 ints 104.9 rating

Beasley: 52 tgts/ 39 rec/ 368 yds/ 2tds/ 2 ints 90.9 rating

Austin:
46 tgts/ 24 rec/ 244 yds/ 0tds/ 2 ints 49.5 rating

As you can see there is a huge drop off.

I'm assuming he was just hurt all year because he was very good against the Giants in the season opener.

It's not Miles Austin's fault.

I blame the Kardashians.

Thanks.

I would like to see people put this type of info into their post if they're creating a new thread.

I see you didn't list Witten in there. You wanna be the one to tell this man he's not a "receiver" ?

He has been a colossal joke...if I see that video of him walking away from Dez while he is talking coverages, etc. I would knock em out! ( I could) The fact that some fans would bring him back makes me cringe. We just got rid of the lazy cc memeber, yes, reward him with a contract. Dude should just be happy he was in the league.

ha, god no.

Jason: 111 tgts/ 73 rec/ 851 yds/ 8tds/ 1 int 109.1 rating

Note:
the 1 int was the one you'll probably remember after I mention it... came from that bad Kyle Orton pass.

Percy will school you on Witten's contribution. I thought it was wasted (going to him #1), but his numbers don't lie.

I was not a fan of Miles moving to LA and taking his summer the way of T.O.
But Miles had health related issues his entire career. The best guys in the business couldn't keep his hamstrings right.

I do think this is addition by subtraction because he was a progress stopper for Terrence Williams.
Miles gave us some phenomenal play but it was in spurts and just as often he'd be out of the game completely.
That type of inconsistency is tough to build around.
