ha, god no.

Jason: 111 tgts/ 73 rec/ 851 yds/ 8tds/ 1 int 109.1 rating

Note:
the 1 int was the one you'll probably remember after I mention it... came from that bad Kyle Orton pass.
The pass wasn't as bad as the drop, imo. Hit him right in the shoulder pads.

I was not a fan of Miles moving to LA and taking his summer the way of T.O.
But Miles had health related issues his entire career. The best guys in the business couldn't keep his hamstrings right.

I do think this is addition by subtraction because he was a progress stopper for Terrence Williams.
Miles gave us some phenomenal play but it was in spurts and just as often he'd be out of the game completely.
That type of inconsistency is tough to build around.

He couldn't have stopped much progress... he wasn't in there and TWill did a really good job for his rookie season.

We have Williams & Dez on the outs. I think we need a slot.

Let a rook who cares run it? Not like we know how to use our WR's anyway. Out/curl patterns for your #1 (But he won't work to be open?) JG is so full of it, he has a top 5 WR and still can't make the playoffs. Such a loser @ this point. Justify everything, how about results?

It's good to see pass rating being used for other things than just to judge the performance of a QB. When I first had the idea to use it for receivers four years ago, there were a few here who had a major problem with it. Now it's becoming a common practice. And it makes sense, because of the stat's high correlation with winning.

All Romo fans are aware, but it is good to have facts to school the other fans;)

Austin may have been a progress stopper. TWill had less opportunities once Austin returned and his production suffered.

-TWill took 48.56% of snaps prior to Austin's injury.
-That shot up to 83.29% of offensive snaps when Austin was injured/out.
-Once Austin was healthy, that number went back down to 68.05% of snaps.

Stats:

TWill with Austin out: 3.4 rec/gm, 62yds/gm, .71 TDs per game... [or more impressively represented as 5 TDs in 7 games.]

Twill once Austin returned: 2.5 rec/gm, 40 yds/gm, 0.0 TDs per game [or more depressingly represented as 0 TDs in 6 games].

Thanks.

I would like to see people put this type of info into their post if they're creating a new thread.

I did not see that necessary given that the statistics for Austin were so terrible and that Romo's statistics in general were good-to-very good. Glad to know CZ has an ombudsman though.

The standard response to anyone refuting the original post should be "well ya got eyes don't ya?"

Maybe I'll put ombudsman in my sig.

One of those guys is going to miss some time. The other WRs we all have are slot WRs: Harris and Beasley, anyway. Plus Dez can be really effective in the slot. We need another outside guy so we don't have to play Dez split out all the time. It'd be nice if that guy is big enough and fast enough to realistically demand some rolled S coverage, too.

It's not a position that necessarily needs a lot of snaps offensively, but we definitely are going to add a player like that before the season starts. It might be a 5th rounder with potential, or a VFA once the draft settles, but we do need one.

Didn't they play Harris at Z? Anyway, agree he's better suited to Slot and double agree about moving Dez around.

Yeah, they did. He's ok there, but as you say, he's made for the inside where he can take advantage of his running skills.

It may have been a little behnd but you're right. I thought he was trying to run before he secured the ball. Take away that int and we might have won the game.

when you get down to the 3rd of 4th WR then let them compete for the job. Personally I like Harris and Beasley they make plays, not stars not guys with big egos they just go out and carry out the assignments. I don't think Dallas lacks at WR or TE but not opposed to using later rd pick to bring in competition.

He shoulda never been put back in the line up unless Williams was hurt.
