BTW...technically the RAVENS have 4 and the Browns have none...

Actually the new Browns franchise kept all the official stats from the former Browns franchise. So even though when the Browns became the Ravens and moved to Baltimore, it was basically treated as an expansion franchise - whole new team. It was one of the conditions of being able to leave Cleveland - they had to relinquish the Browns legacy.

I dont know Haley is probably more attributable to SF and Sanders to Atlanta, but then again there are no rules to this of course.

The reason I included Haley and Sanders is that I think they both were very instrumental in our SB success in the 90's. Haley should count for both the 49ers and the Cowboys and Sanders should probably count for all the teams he played for (exception being the skins )

Giants have only 4 players in the Hall. That is hard to believe.

For people who played or coached most of their career with the Giants and did so mostly from 1960 on, yup, just 4. Actually it should be 5. YA Tittle played more years with SF but he should count for the Giants too so lets say 5.

guys like Gifford and Huff have just a couple more years pre 60 so I didnt count them
then Wellington Mara goes back to 1937 so I didnt count him

nfl.com shows 18 total for them all time and including anyone who played, even guys like Csonka.

Didn't Haley get 3 of his rings with the Boyz and "only" 2 with SF? And didn't Deion play more years for us (5) than he did with any other team? You could argue that they are both more Cowboy than anything else.

i won't argue bb, (bullet bob in this instance) he seems to be a glaring oversight. but i've heard whining over the years of how we're snubbed.

the #'s don't seem to back that up. player selection for who did make it could be in question, but not overall #s.

It depends on what numbers you look at.

In the Super Bowl era, there are still more Cowboys with 5 or more Pro Bowls who are NOT in the HOF than players from any other team.

Its great that the 90's players are finally getting the Cowboys the recognition they deserve.


And we all know that Smith and Allen will be first ballot guys.

And Deion.

Jerry Jones will more than likely be in the Hall when it's all said and done.

Charles Haley, with over 100 sacks and five Super Bowl rings will make it eventually.

Jimmy Johnson may make it - only ten years of coaching will make it difficult.

The 95 team, had 5 sure hall of famers (emmit, troy, michael, deion and allen), 4 first ballot (should´ve been 5) and 2 borderline in haley and woody, and if not for a car crash, big e would be in there no doubt.

You could also argue that emmit, allen and deion were the best ever at their respective positions.

What an amazing collection of tallent.
