Nobody overrates NFCE talent like Cowboys fans. This is an average WR corps. Ross is bad. Engram can't catch. Rudolph can't run. Booker is your standard #2 rb. They don't have a QB and they can't block.
Slayton missed one game, Shepard missed 4, Engram missed 0 lol. They couldn't run the ball even with Saquon.
They weren't injured they just suck.
They had moving parts all over their offense just like Dallas did last year. They were learning a new system and jones looked sluggish for about half the season to me because it seemed he didn't know the offense or trust the wr/ol. I think he is a good player.
They signed Rudolph to play the inline tight end position and to help them in the red zone. Rudolph is the closest player to Witten I have ever seen...He is basically a clone of witten. He will be a player for them on short downs and distances and in the redzone.
You saying engram can't catch is no different than a Giant fan saying the Dallas WR core can not catch....Cooper, Gallup and Lamb dropped a number of balls last year....a number on third down I might add.
This idea that NY's offensive line is bad is odd to me. Their left tackle sat out the season, they had to start a rookie at left tackle who had to learn a completely new technique and struggled for about half the season with it. Their left guard was injured and then benched after. This year they get solder back and can put him or thomas at RT. That is a big upgrade. They may draft a tackle/guard next month also to go with what they have.
Ross and Slayton give them deep threats, shepherd and Golladay give them players to create difficult matchups especially when Engram is in the slot.
Then throw in Saquon as a pass catcher.
They have the players to create mismatches and make big plays. Something they have lacked for about 4 years or so on offense.
Most Importantly they have an old school hard nosed coach who has already established what he wants and shown he is in charge.
