You need a fact check - badly.

Based on what? The fact that the guy is a first-time offender, even if he does lose? Again, your judgment is seriously clouded to the point where you're fabricating things to justify it.

I wouldn't toss around the word 'reality', given what you're claiming.

They messed up the Ray Rice case so "Peterson will have to pay!"?

Nonsense, sheer and utter nonsense!

Actually, Peterson looks like he will be a multiple offender and is now in danger of having his bond revoked and arrested for pot. I screamed bloody murder for Jerry to move up and take him in the draft during his mini freefall, but he is older and dirtier now and the Cowboys actually have a younger version already on the team. Peterson WAS one of the best in the league, Murray is an up and comer and his no less pedigreed after following Peterson in Oklahoma.

Career Records at University of Oklahoma
  • Former All-Time Leader in Points Scored (390) Surpassed by Kicker Michael Hunnicutt in 2014
  • All-Time Leader in Touchdowns (65)
  • All-Time Leader in All Purpose Yards (6,718)
  • All-Time Leader in Receiving Yards for a Running Back (1,571)
  • All-Time Leader in Kickoff Return average (27.6)

If the team is going to spend top RB dollar, better it be on AP than Murray. I still don't see it happening though.

Sometimes the apple outside your own door is the sweetest. It merely requires taking a bite...

Wouldn't those 6 games already be served with being off the field right now?
I don't believe so.Peterson technically isn't suspended. He is on the exempt list, still getting paid. Unless he is found innocent in a court of law, he will most likely be suspended when he is ready to return.

I can appreciate all of that, but I'm of the opinion that Peterson will come considerably cheaper than what Murray's current asking price will be and that has to be factored in as well, don't you think?

Agreed, but AP is too close to 30. Not good for a RB.

I'm thinking that Murray has more productive years left than AP, too. Couple that with the fact that Murray knows this offense inside and out, Murray has chemistry with this offensive line, and is outstanding in pass protection - I'm not so sure I want AP anymore.

Just pay the man a reasonable deal. Shouldn't be too much considering how the RB position is being devalued.

I hope you're right, but I think it's a tough spot for the Cowboys to be in.

Quite possibly the league's leading rusher, in the prime of his career, looking for his one big contract, at a position that is currently being devalued.

It has tough negotiations written all over it.

I'm not sure you pay him more than 6 mil a year. But that's probably about the limit I would pay DeMarco or any RB coming into Dallas. Unless you want a lesser back I'm not sure you are really gonna see Dallas pay less than 5 mil a year for a RB.

Can somebody translate this? Speak English....

Didn't realize the damn spell check out in a word I've never seen, all I said was AP would be crazy behind this oline, just like people in the organization believe this line can help extend Romos career, AP would probably like too come and run behind this line who will also help him look like his old self, then again I think any back out there would love too come in here.

Peterson is going to play for 1 dollar for 2015, but only for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys will also sign Murray and run a 2 RB offense.
