Remember how supposedly AP told Jerry he wants to play here....now is the time to see if he really meant that. I know it's contract value and playing time over just wanting to play here.
But he is an aging RB, getting near that RB wall. So will a team pay him big money, long term. Or will he be willing to take less, and a back up role, that can still contribute. And help us get to a SB, as opposed to playing for bigger money on a team that is further away.

however, I hate that a team like NYG or Philly or Washington going after him on a 2 year deal.

Unless your getting rid of McFadden and either dunbaR or Morris, and he takes a deal like McFadden got. Meh..maybe he wants a shot at a ring

Could you imagine the hype if Denver signed All Day and then traded for Romo?
Trading for Romo alone would be worth the hype. I'm not sure how much of an upgrade Peterson even is over Anderson and Booker at this point in his career, but they have enough weapons and defense to be a healthy Romo away regardless.

I'm convinced that nobody here actually watched AP last year. Sure he had limited reps and was probably shaking off cobwebs, but he didn't show much burst and couldn't get much for YAC. Again, small sample size, but if you didn't want bring Emmitt back, why would you want AP?

Some will blame his OL, fine, but AP doesn't get us any closer to the Lombardi.

Would be funny if he wanted to come home bad enough to play for what it took to sign McFadden or Morris. Even if he had that mind-set, though, I think he'll go where the money is.

Would you rather have him or Morris/McFadden as the No. 2 if the price was the same?

No, sign AP and pound the living crap out of the league, and make them all pay for building pass first philosophies.

Im with you.

You just add to our greatest strength and that is imposing our will on the ground.

It's especially a good move if it keeps him out of NYG and hes willing to play on a cheap deal.

Since he was cut he won't count as a Comp Pick

If he wants to be here as back-up to Zeke I would go for 4m with incentives if EE got hurt

Someone will pay him more then that, and I'm thinking our whole backup RB contingent will come in around 4 million or less for the year.

oh god..please no.
he would just take more carries away from Zeke and be a cap hit we cant afford. Or maybe he would just sit on the bench with Morris and McFadden

If he came here Morris or McFadden won't be here. He's going to be too expensive to be a backup so I don't see him coming here.

Some here want to retain Tony and trade Dak. Might as well trade Zeke too and sign Peterson. Get all players we can who are 30 years or older.

The only way I see Peterson ending up with the Cowboys is if there's some concern about Zeke's availability for the 2017 season due to the domestic violence investigation that still could be ongoing.

McFadden is a FA so he may not be here anyway. We are about two years past due in getting rid of Dunbar.
