Hey, lets water down our best player with a name from the past.

This pisses me off. And I wanted Adrian bad 3 years ago. But you are right. We got Zeke now and he will be even better this season. Zeke is the man now in Dallas.

As the roster currently is, AP would not be a good signing. However I would hate for AP to end up in Philly or NY.

If he came here Morris or McFadden won't be here. He's going to be too expensive to be a backup so I don't see him coming here.

plus the draft is strong for rb's this year and cap hit would be a lot lower

So... if he is viewed by the Cowboys as still a dangerous ball carrier do they sign him to keep him away from the rest of the NFC East?

Can't afford to sign a decent rush end but we can always afford to sign a RB who is not needed in the Offense.

This would of been great when we let DM walk and tried the RBC with randle, DMC, and LD.

I feel like this ship has sailed. Especially since we have the combination of EE and DMC.

oh god..please no.
he would just take more carries away from Zeke and be a cap hit we cant afford. Or maybe he would just sit on the bench with Morris and McFadden
Hey if he's willing to sign a team friendly deal I don't see why not. Zeke isn't going to get 100% of the carries AD or not. I see no reason why providing insurance there for injury would be a bad thing.

The same people who say Zeke is critical to our success last year should want a backup who could try to replicate such success either when Zeke needs to be spelled or because of injury...no?

People can't have their cake and eat it too.

It would make no sense Peterson coming here to backup Zeke unless there's concerns about Zeke's domestic violence investigation if it's still ongoing. The last I heard in mid January there still wasn't any closure. The Cowboys still could be concerned of a suspension and want to be prepared.

Someone will pay him more then that, and I'm thinking our whole backup RB contingent will come in around 4 million or less for the year.
I would only go to 4m to get AD and that would still have to be the base...incentives would have to be included to bump it up if he has to start

Anyone else no way

But to be fair, same argument can be made at QB,

Amen.....non-Zekeial RBs got 100 carries last year......that is 4 full games

If AD wants them then sign me up......drop Morris, DMC and Dunbar and draft some thunder and lightning late or in UDFA

He's gonna be 32 years old next season. He's got nearly 2,500 carries to his name in his career. He spent last season with numerous nagging injuries. Why is everyone so convinced that Peterson is gonna get big money no matter where he goes? This isn't AD in his prime. This is AD approaching the end of the road.

"It's crazy for him to take carries from Ezekiel .."

It's crazy for any RB not to take some of the workload off of the guy. Ezekiel had 322 carries, as a rookie. That's an absolutely brutal workload. Even Peterson has only ran the ball that many times or more just 2 times in his career. No matter who the guy is, Ezekiel needs to have his load lightened a bit.
