Adrian Peterson on his future in Minnesota

Watch Garrett's last interview. He disagrees.

His comments are worthless.

There are plenty of running backs in the league and coming out of the draft that can be immediately highly productive behind this offensive line. Don't let Robotic Ginger do your thinking for you.

I agree with this part, .. but it is the "protecting Romo" part that has me concerned when talking about replacing Murray.

If he wants to play for 2M or under I'll take him. Otherwise I'm adding every resource imaginable to our defensive line and drafting a back.

Think the Cowboys would be able to pursuade him to play for what they offered murray. And i think that you add AP to last yrs team this team has home field advantage, and in the superbowl. Peterson is so much better then any RB in the nfl. AP breaks the single season rushing record behind this OL

Who cares? With AP at his age and home town discount we win the SB any way. Weeden and AP all the way.

Drat! I knew that. What was I thinking? Thanks
Also they would be stuck with Claiborne's guaranteed salary of 2.4M. Based on his career I don't know if a team would pay him that much if he was a healthy free agent. I definitely don't see a team paying him that now considering he might not be ready health wise for game 1.

The ball isn't in Peterson's court it's in the Vikings. Until that changes there isn't much to talk about.

I was about to comment that unless he can rush the passer I'm not interested but he actually may be a better pass rusher than Selvie. Peterson has been angling to get to Dallas for awhile now and as the Dez and Murray contract stuff heats up, so will his efforts to get Jerra's attention.

i can already see the Breaking News

You just wait until a few days before Free agency starts and I'll bet you we will hear Peterson come out and say definitely he doesn't want to be in Minnesota anymore. He will give Jerry a heads up through the media not to do anything yet until he's released.

2m? This is 2015 pal.

That's correct. It's a passing league. Running Backs have gone in the draft the latest they've ever been taken in two consecutive years. The leader in YPC was a veteran back making 730K. Should we focus our defensive rebuild on nose tackles and run thumping inside linebackers too? Pal?

That is when, march 9th? Ill book the day off haha

not collusion, but not far from it...I can't see the Vikings paying that ridiculous amount in salary, but they may wait that out as long as possible, just to see if Murray goes elsewhere first

I can't imagine not being intrigued by the best player at a position of need with a vocal love of Texas possibly coming available while we're in the market. It makes the whole Murray debate that much more interesting.

Imagine getting him.
Not signing Murray.

Then AP pulls a JG and we are toast!

AP appears very stubborn, throughout this episode with his child and even now. I doubt he resigns with Minnesota if he has his way. But that's the problem. The ball is totally in the Vikings' court.

He has his convictions that he's doing the very best for his children. That's often the approach in African American homes and in over hundred million other homes in the U.S. Billions worldwide live like that as the norm. But the privileged elite seem to know better in our country and are committed to impose and police their view on everyone else.

We live in what some sociologists have dubbed an epidemic of narcissism and "an aspirational deficit" with the emerging generation. Funny how people can't connect the dots to the ultra-passive, "your always a special winner" "don't touch" style of parenting.

Maybe it truly was abusive. I wasn't there and neither was anyone in this forum. It's interesting to note that unlike many AP is actively involved w/his children and still married to their mother. There is a whole lot to be said for that.

I'm tentative in my views again...since I wasn't there. I don't have access to an NSA video camera monitoring that home. My hunch is that the government and media have been 10x more abusive than AP. But hey...just a hunch.
