I thought our OL made the rb's anyways? Isn't that what most fans here say about Murray's production last year? Pretty sure other backs in the 2nd round, maybe 3rd can run behind this OL.

Perhaps any NFL back can run behind this line, but can any college kid with no experience do the same? After Gurley and Gordon there is a huge drop off in talent there. We will have to see how it unfolds it will be exciting.

SJ did say that they wouldn't use draft picks for a veteran. Look for a trade up for Gurley tonight :)

The Chicago Tribune's Dan Pompei is hearing the "chances are very slim" of Adrian Peterson getting traded.
Pompei admits "things can change in a hurry, though." ESPN's Adam Schefter hinted this morning on Mike & Mike that there's a chance Peterson gets traded, but any potential deal will be off the table if Peterson is not dealt during Thursday night's first round. We see A.P. as 50:50 or worse to be traded.

ESPN's John Clayton reported Thursday that Jacksonville is "out" of the running for Adrian Peterson.
Clayton confirmed a Yahoo report that Dallas is "out," as well. He added that the Cardinals are "not willing to give up a No. 1 (pick)." Vikings GM Rick Spielman is known to be holding out for a first-round pick in exchange for Peterson. Peterson is only going to get dealt if Spielman's asking price drops.

So "everybody" is out with a 1st round pick.

I'm glad they're "out" for a 1st round pick.

But John Clayton wouldn't know what Dallas was doing if Jerry Jones called him personally!

:lmao:

I think you'll be disappointed. I think they are going heavy defense until rounds 3 or 4. Look for Yeldon or Abdullah in the 3rd or 4th.

If they draft a RB

I won't be disappointed at all. I want a heavy defensive draft.

Just saying that there is a better chance of Dallas trading top draft picks for Gurley than for AP.

I agree. But keep the door open. There is a real possibility that AD gets traded for a lot less than that.

I would respectfully disagree with you on this one.

You really think they'd give up a 1st or 2nd? I really don't now that Spielman backed himself into a corner.

More that I don't believe that they would give up a 1st and more to move up for Gurley.

I thought he was being sarcastic. I agree there's a far better chance that a deal for AD is made with an early pick vs. the cost for moving up to get Gurley.

It was a sarcastic remark, kind of. Was just pointing out the Stephen Jones comment about trading picks for a veteran, instead look for them trading up for a rookie. Neither will happen IMO and lets get this defensive show on the road!

It will be defensive heavy IMO. AD will be our new RB for a high pick from next year

So your providing your baseless speculation...there is a good chance Carter knows something.

So you're telling me if you're on a "gag order" you go around announcing something is going to happen, but you can't go into detail? It screams the guy is just looking for attention.
