I wasn't on board with a 2nd rounder but I sure as hell would trade Chaz Green for Peterson.

Not sure if I would. We lack depth along the offensive line and they're is a good chance Green is the heir apparent to Free. I would certainly be more amenable to giving him up for AP than Gregory though. No way would I trade Gregory for AP.

Obviously w/o question having AD on this team makes them the SB choice for the NFC. However I am going to keep my eye on STL and CLE. If Gurley is healthy could be a cut there. CLE is the one that offers the most imo. West, Crowell, and Johnson. I just don't see them keeping all three.

This talk is insane to me. Green for Peterson (granted I also would assume he signs a favorable contract) is about as big a no brainer as there is. Green is a mid to late round talent that very easily could crap out in the NFL.

There were quote a few who said they would give up a second. Just wondering if they would rather have Gregory or AP now.

I would have given up a second for Peterson. Yes. Gregory slipped to 60 for a reason, I worry about his mental capacity.. something is off with that dude. It will be a mystery what he turns into. Peterson would have put our team over the top. We would still have the additions of Jones, Hardy, Lee back, healthy Lawrence on defense, etc. Basically our defense would have been much improved over last year and we would have Peterson toting the rock. If that would have been the case in 2014 we would have been going to a super bowl.

And Peterson could very well start a fast decline.

See how that works with predicting the future? You can make any that you want. I choose a future RT to groom behind Free over an RB with a couple years left in the NFL.

You've long let any rational thought go out the window here. You could poll 100 NFL scouts if they could have Green or Peterson and you'd be lucky to find one that would agree with you here. I have little doubt that if Dallas could have gotten Peterson for a 3rd rounder, they'd have done it without blinking. But Minny was holding him for a ransom.

Your disdain for Peterson is both peculiar and funny.

I don't understand why people are so ready to give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick who could cheaply contribute for 4 years for a 30 year old expensive RB that could contribute for 2 years if he defies the odds.

I can almost certainly say they won't, because they for some reason believe the RB position matters.

And quite frankly, I don't give a **** less what other scouts would do. I'm not touching a 30 year old RB, I'm not trading for a 30 year old RB, and I would ONLY bring that RB in if he comes in on a cheap contract.

What part of 30 year old RB do you not understand? This isn't a 26-27 year old RB we are discussing here. Get over the mythical ******** that comes with AP.

I have no "disdain" for Peterson. A 30 year old RB is a 30 old RB, doesn't matter if it's Peterson, Smith, or Sanders; an RB 30 or over is nearing the end. No thanks. Come here on a small contract and I'm all for it.

AP is still coming to town:):)

Circle May 26th on your calendars, true believers.

Hopefully for the rest of us, this circus will be over by then. Thought the draft would make that clear, but apparently not.

It's not over till the fat lady sings and that happens to be when the trade deadline for this coming season is, so circle that date.

No, that is the day the Vikings have a mini camp and if he does not show, then I am sure the fountain of hope becomes a geyser.

The trade deadline is at some point in October.

Yet you wanted Zach Stacy...brilliant!
