Adrian Peterson wants to be a Cowboy

Please get Murray signed so we can eliminate all the AP threads.......or Vikings just release him, so if he signs here or anywhere else, it accomplishes the same.....well, if he signs here, it will create more, but at least it's done and over....

I agree with much of that. However, he's the best running back on the planet, and it's not even close. Being north of 30 doesn't matter with him. He's the exception to every rule.

The dude came back from ACL surgery in eight months and rushed for 2,000 yards. Incredible.

He last full'ish season which was two years ago when he rushed for only 1266 yards and his averaged dropped from 6.0 ypc to 4.5.

By the time next season starts, that 2000 yard season will be 4 years in the rear-view mirror.

And the new forum Mantra? Don't pay for past performances. I guess that doesn't apply to four year old performances.

Pretty simple gentleman --make this a thread about about anything other then the original post is a no no. Keep your "child abuse "post to yourself or take a mandatory day off.

He is going to be just south of Murray money wise. I say we get a moderately priced FA RB that can raise their level of play behind a solid OL. We need money to spend for Dez and a DL.

Did he mention who could be his Cow-Girl (quota for dated horrible 80s jokes met)??????

Do not want the guy ........ and cant see the Vikes doing him any favors.

With a coat rack playing quarterback.

Honestly dont try to explain it to him. He believes Murray is the better back. Thats his opinion.

At this stage in their careers Murray probably is the better back he's 3 years younger coming off a career year not spending an entire season suspended dealing with off the field issues. We don't know where AP is mentally or physically after everything that's gone down with him the past year. The last game he played was on opening day of the 2014 season and he only rushed for 75 yards averaging 3.6 a carry. The last 2 games prior to that during the 2013 season he rushed for only 13 yards on 7 carries vs Baltimore and 45 yards on 11 carries the following week vs Cinn. He appeared to be a back in decline and with a year off dealing with off the field issues who knows how much he has left.

I know he's a special player and being 30 might not effect him like you're ordinary 30 year old back but it's going to be tough for him to come flying out of the gates and be the back he once was after a year of inactivity dealing with off the field issues. If the Cowboys lose Murray they would almost have to go with AP if he's available and hope he still has a couple of years left in the tank. RB's can hit the wall quick once they reach a certain age with a lot of milage on their tread. It will be interesting to see where AP is after a year off dealing with off the field problems.

Good luck finding a post from me saying I think Murray is a better RB, however, if you want to try, have at it.

Murray is a tough, well-rounded running back, but he's absolutely awful in space.

Peterson is a tough, well-rounded running back that can take it 80 yards.

Plus, Peterson is like Dez. He LOVES to play football. He's just a different beast, and with this quarterback and offensive line, the sky is the limit.
