So after I let the emotions of the letdown go without saying much last night, I want to point out a few things after watching the game again. My only agenda is for the Cowboys to win and compete in the Super Bowl. I don’t care which players get us there, how much we pay for those players, what kind of salary cap position we are in, or what system we use to get that done.

1) Dak is not a top 10 QB. He’s a great leader and has the potential to be one. At the moment he has too many bad habits, he gets away from what he’s good at, and he just isn’t at the same level as the top tier guys. Why does he insist on staying so close to the front of the pocket and why doesn’t he move out of it ever? It’s hard to see the field and find the open guy if your so close to the trenches.

2) Why is it so difficult for our WR’s to play in space? This is a great group, again with so much potential. But they never run themselves open, or catch the ball with a lot of open ground around them like other teams do. Is this a system issue, or a Dak problem?

3) The whole “we don’t want to put a lot of resources into the safety position” is a key reason we struggle defensively every year. Woods is not good, and wouldn’t start on any contending team. The other guys look like middle of the road college guys. This is the Most pathetic part of the team, it’s almost laughable. It’s like we learned nothing since the Rams Game when they did the same thing to us in the playoffs a of couple years ago.

4) It looks like Tank stopped caring since he got paid. He looked slow, fat and out of shape. He looked like he wouldn’t have got any PT if he were on that Rams team. Floyd and Brockers looked better. Someone needs to talk some sense into him or this will be the worst contract we’ve had to watch in a long time.

5) Zeke carried the team and looks like he returned to rookie season form. I wish guys like One Foot Smith, and Crawford played with his desire and attitude.

6) Did Lewis play? I didn’t see him at all. I also thought Carr dressed and was gonna play.

It’s going to be interesting to see the adjustments made this week. We definitely need Safety help, LB help, TE help, and OL help. Too many holes to feel, but we will see how good The Jones‘s are at their job now.

Kellen Moore is the problem.

I have to say this and don't take it the wrong way but if you put yourself through watching that mess twice now in 2 days and your takeaway still doesnt include our OL getting pushed around then I have to question you a little.

So we are blaming Dak for not customizing his plays to modify them to 7 step drops now?
Thats not how this works my man. You don't get to do that. The entire offense is thrown off when your QB tries crap like that.

BTW.. your WR question about them running in space also applies to pass protection. It takes time to create space... Time isnt something you have when Donald is rushing your QB and in his face on 35% of the snaps.

He is a top 10 QB lol. His play callers need to take advantage of his mobility and focus on roll outs and play action.

It’s surprising he’s done so well in a system that limits nearly all his biggest strengths

Trade J Smith for a future 7 th., Wish LVE good and trade him for whatever you can get. Find a safety that can actually lay the wood. Our dts are getting pushed around like shopping carts. Williams has proven he's not ever going to be a guard, biasdez needs to be given a chance at center. Hope Collins gets healthy. Start tutoring dinucci like he's a first round draft choice that needs to start. Never thought Jeff heath would be on my wish list, but he's actually better than Thompson for sure.

You could have stop typing after your first point. Soon as i read that i knew the rest of the post would be trash and not worth my time to read all of it.

If dak is so bad how is he graded a top 5 qb right now?

If Dak doesn't show me WINS this season, I'm done with him. I DGAF how he gets us wins, I just want wins. Do your F'ing job or get the hell out.
Lol good thing your and any other fans thoughts matter 9n this subject

Dak did hold onto the ball a little too long on a few plays and looked slow on his progressions all night. The worst was the sack he took while in his
motion with an open receiver. But at the same time, his guys did him no favors with key drops and bad routes. His defense was also on skates from the first snap and his kicker missed his first FG of the season.

But it's funny how the NFL goes, had Gallup not get called for PI, we would have a lot of "Dak is clutch" threads today, because dude had that ball right on the money with the game on the line. Just a perfect storm. And I'm only hoping it's growing pains because thanks to the Giants, we came close to being at the total bottom in points scored in the NFC east this weekend. I'm furious and sick but it's just week one.

Wade Wilson is the problem! - 2017
Scott Linehan is the problem! - 2018
Jason Garrett is the problem! - 2019
Kellen Moore is the problem! - 2020

I hate to beat up on dak, as I really think hebis a good QB, but sometimes the blind Homers make it tough not to.
Equal blame, as you remeber when Romo has his down years we blamed everyone however it came out that he had to keep changing out of stupid plays by the coaching staff. I believe Dak needs to be free to call or do as he sees fit at the line most of the time

you saw the games twice. who do you think had a better game, Goff or Dak? Why do you think the Rams receivers appeared to play in space?

Who was the problem when Romo was our QB and we struggled?
Romo lost a lot of games for the cowboys, also won a lot of them. Same can be said for dak. I think at this point its safe to say that both are/were very good, not elite QBs.

Word from the cowboys media was a lot of the same crap route trees linehan used to run. Not much open either. If dak throws that ball while getting hit its most likely incompete or int. And its funny when you say about dak when williams got blown up on that play lol

I wasn't against keeping Moore but I was against keeping the old offense. I was hoping we go to WCO and let KM learn from MM. Our personell is made for WCO. Mobile QB who can throw well on the run. WRs who are good at getting YAC. RBs who are good receivers. Athletic Olinemen. etc..

I hope MM makes that change.
