So after I let the emotions of the letdown go without saying much last night, I want to point out a few things after watching the game again. My only agenda is for the Cowboys to win and compete in the Super Bowl. I don’t care which players get us there, how much we pay for those players, what kind of salary cap position we are in, or what system we use to get that done.
1) Dak is not a top 10 QB. He’s a great leader and has the potential to be one. At the moment he has too many bad habits, he gets away from what he’s good at, and he just isn’t at the same level as the top tier guys. Why does he insist on staying so close to the front of the pocket and why doesn’t he move out of it ever? It’s hard to see the field and find the open guy if your so close to the trenches.
2) Why is it so difficult for our WR’s to play in space? This is a great group, again with so much potential. But they never run themselves open, or catch the ball with a lot of open ground around them like other teams do. Is this a system issue, or a Dak problem?
3) The whole “we don’t want to put a lot of resources into the safety position” is a key reason we struggle defensively every year. Woods is not good, and wouldn’t start on any contending team. The other guys look like middle of the road college guys. This is the Most pathetic part of the team, it’s almost laughable. It’s like we learned nothing since the Rams Game when they did the same thing to us in the playoffs a of couple years ago.
4) It looks like Tank stopped caring since he got paid. He looked slow, fat and out of shape. He looked like he wouldn’t have got any PT if he were on that Rams team. Floyd and Brockers looked better. Someone needs to talk some sense into him or this will be the worst contract we’ve had to watch in a long time.
5) Zeke carried the team and looks like he returned to rookie season form. I wish guys like One Foot Smith, and Crawford played with his desire and attitude.
6) Did Lewis play? I didn’t see him at all. I also thought Carr dressed and was gonna play.
It’s going to be interesting to see the adjustments made this week. We definitely need Safety help, LB help, TE help, and OL help. Too many holes to feel, but we will see how good The Jones‘s are at their job now.
Its year 5 for dak, I wouldn imagine he has full control at the LOS. If not that needs to change, I agree.Equal blame, as you remeber when Romo has his down years we blamed everyone however it came out that he had to keep changing out of stupid plays by the coaching staff. I believe Dak needs to be free to call or do as he sees fit at the line most of the time
If dak is so bad how is he graded a top 5 qb right now?
Do some research dont be lazyWho's doing the grading
But then Jerry wont be able to say he developed a coach.Everybody on the Garrett staff needs to go

Which of those seasons did Dak represent the Cowboys and the NFC in the probowl?Wade Wilson is the problem! - 2017
Scott Linehan is the problem! - 2018
Jason Garrett is the problem! - 2019
Kellen Moore is the problem! - 2020
I hate to beat up on dak, as I really think hebis a good QB, but sometimes the blind Homers make it tough not to.
Romo lost a lot of games for the cowboys, also won a lot of them. Same can be said for dak. I think at this point its safe to say that both are/were very good, not elite QBs.

If Dak doesn't show me WINS this season, I'm done with him. I DGAF how he gets us wins, I just want wins. Do your F'ing job or get the hell out.
Don't you want to get out of the divisional round of the playoffs and more then just a wild card winI hated #9
What I'd give for a prime Romo right about now![]()
I wasn't against keeping Moore but I was against keeping the old offense. I was hoping we go to WCO and let KM learn from MM. Our personell is made for WCO. Mobile QB who can throw well on the run. WRs who are good at getting YAC. RBs who are good receivers. Athletic Olinemen. etc..
I hope MM makes that change.

Lol must be tough to not know much about footballI seen him play not even top 12 just my opinion

He's certainly not making that change midseason. I think keeping Moore was a condition of employment.
Does anyone really believe an offensive guy - with a SB ring - gets a head coaching job and says "yeah, I'll learn your offense from some kid with 2 years of experience."
