After reviewing this fiasco, can anyone tell me why Dak and Micah expect big paydays?

Plus we have changed personell in all positions but the QB. Dak has different coaches, OCs, o lines, receivers, game plans... what more does he need? Oh yes, he always had bad defenses lol. No he hadn't, they held the fort quite well in 22 and 23. He just couldn't deliver.

They held the fort against bad teams remember?

Contracts are typically based on the regular season. Individuals don't translate to wins in the playoffs.

We like to have individual Super Stars vs building a complementary team. Then we get mad when our Super Stars can't carry the entire team.
Based on our last game played, Dak and Parsons sucked monumentally. I am not saying get rid of them, but let that game be one to temper demands for a huge payday. (And based on that game Love certainly deserves his payday.)

Can’t make this stuff up. Coaches are responsible for getting the team ready to play. Not sure how you don’t know that but you apparently don’t. It was a total organization failure from Jerry down to the water boys.
Yeah, loud chap, if Jerry quits throwing picks we shall be the toppermost of the poppermost.

Yes, Micah was double-teamed. Yes, he stood around for much of the game.
Dak, when not throwing picks, was losing yardage near the sidelines. Never learned to quick-release the ball.

It’s simple. They work for a living. Their jobs have a market value. Like every other player in the NFL, they are going to push the envelope for the pay the market affords them. Players do that for themselves and for the members of their union. It’s actually quite simple and has nothing to do with how many or which games they win. Teams that go 0-17 are required to spend close to the same money on players as the team that goes undefeated. All the money made for the league and owners via TV, attendance, concessions, and merchandise, along with increased value of franchises is all dependent on the players who sacrifice their current and future health in very short careers.

We, as frustrated fans, can debate our personal opinions on players‘ values and the crazy money they earn, but why shouldn’t they demand every dollar and increase their sliver of the pie?

But the Packers must have saw something in Love . Not only was it enough to let Rodgers go but they stayed with him after slow start last year.

And he begun playing his best ball down the stretch. That’s the kind of talent evaluation our front office has been missing this era
The Packers, such as other wise teams, know when a QB is on the top and then slowing succumbing to age and injury. They saw in Love a QB with the tools, and the Pack was willing to gamble on a young QB.
We on the other hand, hold on to star players after their luster is off (Sequel Elliott) and now on a QB who beats average teams handily in the regular season and wilts in the playoffs.

So Dak not willing to sign with Dallas is a good thing. Correct?

Just another excuse IMHO. This is the kind of thing you keep telling yourself over and over because facing the truth is just too painful. All the coaching in the world doesn't fix what was broken in that game.

Whatever floats your boat.

Glad GB didn't pull their defensive starters the second half...
They didn’t until after the Cowboys scored multiple times on them. In fact the only reason they were able to pull them in the 4th at all is because the defense gave up 3 straight TDs to start the second half (remember that whole historically bad defensive performance kept going).

It was a nice attempt at a rebuttal though but it’s a shame reality got in the way. Maybe your next attempt will reflect the actual results in the game and not what you wish they were. In the actual game the defense and offense had their starters in the game in the 3rd quarter and while Green Bay’s defense was getting beat in the second half, the Green Bay offense was still dominating.

But another huge factor is Love plays for an elite organization that is well managed and their head coach has real power. Conversely, Dak plays for a dysfunctional franchise where the owner is the head coach and there are constant distractions courtesy of our beloved owner. Dak and Romo both did a great job considering all the obstacles to winning Jerry creates. Its apples and oranges.

The first half of this game should be watched every day by management, players, coaches and fans. It will tell you everything you need to know about this team.

1. Parsons was not double teamed. He was just plain ineffective. If anything he is targeted.
2. The defense pretty much sucked as it has for the last 20 years.
3. The two interceptions were the two biggest plays of the game. Dak sucked.
Dak Prescott struggled throughout the 48–32 loss, despite throwing for 400 yards and three touchdowns. He was particularly woeful in the first half when he threw two interceptions, including a pick six, as the Cowboys were down 20 heading into the break.

The 2 interceptions were 50% on Dak. Others contributed to those interceptions. Let's be real.

Good post, but oh, dear me, good ruffian.
I stressed BIG payday, but not stratospheric paydays.
With Dak it might seem inevitable that he extends. Big mistake.
And, yes, they should demand franchise-breaking salaries, but chaps, 3 good players should not cripple us capwise.

If me party jet could accommodate only 2 more passengers I'd pick Micah and CeeDee and hope tha Dakchoka gets a nice goodbye ceremony with cupcakes and Big Reds afterward.

Correct. However the Defense was woefully awful the entire game.

The GB game was just a painful reminder of the numerous problems that routinely confront the Dallas Cowboys team.

Try as they may to become a legitimate contender, there will always be a FO that can't seem to get it together.

Yes, Dak is a hard-working QB that does what he can to make his head control the rest of his body.

Heck, it's not his fault that he's working for a FO that is bent upon serving their brand.

In the meantime, Dak gets paid so much that the rest of the team is jealous.
What else can they do but lay down and lose in the playoffs?
