You are kidding right?

Is anything I posted there really that far fetched? or is it based on what we have shown from time to time?

I think our DB are pretty good and I think we have some guys who can bring the pressure. I'm not going to conceed anything to the Saints, they are a very good team but do have some weakness it is up to the Cowboys to exploit those weakness.

All the Saints haters just can not admit another team is good.

It is ok to acknowledge another team stepping and performing well. No one will pull your Cowboys fan card.

The Saints played great last night. And they have played really well all season.

Anyone can nit pick any team and find issues.

The fact of the matter is they are playing really well right now.

Even if Jenkins locks down Colston and Newman takes out Henderson, that leaves Scandrick covering Meachem or Moore. Not the best match-up for us.

Our game against the Saints will probably go down like our game against the Patriots in 2007. Hang in with them for a half and then they slowly, but convincingly they pull away and win by multiple TDs.

Anyway, we play the Giants next.:

Saints are a very good team, I respect the job they have done. Having said that I'm not shaking in my boots that Dallas has to play them. It will be a big challenge to the team and they will have to bring it offense, defensively and special teams if they expect to have a legit chance to win. Personally I love matchups like this.

True they are a very good team and our DB's will have their work cut out for them, they will need the help of the front to bring pressure with Ware, Ratliff and Spencer as well as sending the inside LB at times. Hey if we let their WR run all by themselfs as the Pats did last night we will lose I just happen to have a bit of faith in this team that we can put up points on the Saints and hopefully slow down the offense just enough to walk out with a win. If others want to conceed the game that is cool with me, other than repect I give the Saints nothing

Yeah, it helps when the DBs actually cover the receivers, but Brees through multiple TDS into good coverage. I don't like our chances with Scandrick expected to shut down one of their receivers.

Did anyone else notice that the Saints had 2 guys playing in the secondary that were on the street a couple of weeks ago. You're telling me Big Bill couldn't figure out how to exploit that?

Who ever said anything about shutting their WR down? I think you must contain their WR not allow them to hit the big play and part of doing that has to do with getting the defensive front to bring pressure. It will also be important for the Cowboys offense to attack them with the run and go after them down field. Lastnight Brady missed some big plays down field, one where moss split the coverage and a couple of other he flat over threw. I'm not pretending this is an easy game it isn't but there is no team out there they can't be beat.

Way too many holes to be plugged and remain successful. From Coaches to players to the GM.

Bottom line is, this is a fabulous offense in the Saints, but traditionally, great defenses always win in the end.

Whether we have a great defense yet or not is hard for me to say, but the Giants proved the year they beat the Pats in the Super Bowl, that if you get after a Quarterback, all that great offense stuff goes out the window, of course unless you're a GREAT running team.

The Vikings scare me more offensively.

Barring any injuries to any more of the secondary the next two weeks and I think the Cowboys can hang with the Saints-- at least for a while. I think you need a terrific pass rush and a lot of successful press coverage in order to keep their offense under 25 points.

Looks to me that the SAINTS have trouble stopping the run. St Louis pounded SJax and had a close game. Maroney was able to get some yards lat night but they fell behind way too fast. Control the clock and keep Brees off the field. I do like our D much better than the Pats as well. The media will CROWN the Saints after last night. Would love to beat them in the dome in a few weeks. It can be done.:star:

Dust off Parcells game play against the Colts few years back when they were high octane and undefeated until we beat them in Dallas.

Ball control, shorten the game, convert 3rd downs and score touchdowns instead of FGs. Make them earn every yard by keeping everything in front and pound the ball. Make them have to run 10 plays 80 yd drive to score. Usually rush various 4-5 players but keep 6-7 DB back. Get a passrush with just 4 or 5.

Pretty much can win with that formula every game.:)

add to this that Bush didn't play and Shockey only got something like 15 yards, so their weapons are seemingly endless

In my opinion , the only possible way to beat this team is to have a HELLACIOUS rush that never gives Brees more than 1.5 to 2 seconds while still stopping the run and beating the living crap out of Brees when he's sacked and even when he gets the ball out.

You are on the money.
We jammed those WR's at the line.
We passed them off to other defenders.
Colts never got into rhythm. It was beautiful.

I really had thought we figured things out and were on our way back to prominence.

Then it happened = nothing!

the saints are definately good, and no defense can completely shut them down,, but we match up better then almost any team in the league..

NO- no go to guy, lotsa weapons DAL- deepest corner squad in the league probably.. find me a 3rd CB as good as lando.. or a 4th as good as ball..

NO- big weapon is the short out to the RB DAL- CB are some of the best tackling CBs around. and brooking reads that stuff very well..

we should be able to cover long enough to get to brees. we have one of the best pass rushes in the league..

we can score on their defense.. we just have to run the ball well and throw well on 3rd downs and such..

The Patriots remind me of us when our run was coming to an end, they had better start retooling starting with the coaching staff. I have always said that the way to pull down a dynasty is to take it's coaching staff. Unless you can replace the coaches with the same quality, and still keep good chemistry you can maintain.

I also believe Belichek is starting to get burned out. To stay on top takes a toll on you mentally, and mental fatigue is worse than physical fatigue

Wheteher we beat the Saints in a couple of weeks does not matter to me as much,(even though I would love to beat the breaks off them) but as my barber says, he is afraid that we will beat them when it really counts and that is in the playoffs, I'll take that win over a regular season all day everyday.
